Replying To JoeSoap:  "Sean O'Se has absolutely every right to go for that rebound and the commentary saying otherwise is absolute nonsense"
its not so much going for it as the manner he went for it in imo

Are the commentators watching the same game as me? Kerry on double scores but you'd swear listening to Canning they were neck-and-neck.

Isn't ó shea entitled to go for that ball? Or do my fellow hoganstand posters want football to become a non contact sport altogether?

Dubin walked the ball the length of the pitch for that goal - and not a hand laid on them. Where was the defence?

Please umpires stay at your posts. Spillane in the 47 minute kicked for point, umpire on the hill side was closer to sideline than his post.

Replying To Neartheborder:  "RTE commentary so effin patronising, Oh I was asleep at this stage yesterday. Saints on field especially keeper who lay down when down to 14."
Absolutely. No score for 15 minutes in this game and its supposed to be the best game ever.It was the worst game ever when Galway hadn't scored for 20.Its no better or worse than yesterday.

Replying To festinog:  "Oh my. The game hasn't even started and both RTÉ commentators have informed is that whoever wins today will win the all Ireland. And they haven't just said it once, it's all they have to say.

I'm not sure why Galway would even show up."
Totally agree.

Replying To togoutlads:  "Just before match starts - again, what's the story with the allocation of Hill tickets? Yet again, the GAA quite deliberately hand a big psychological advantage in heavily biased allocation to the Dubs at that end of the ground - creating a wall of noise and intimidation that is actually worth scores to them. Hill better be 50:50 allocation for the final - whoever is in it with Galway!!"
For semi final you can buy tickets online.I doubt it will be the same for final. Not sure but most tickets allocated to clubs in competing counties so should be more equal.

Replying To P.Mckenna:  "Very cynical play by comerford."
If they did the timing for black card as the ladies do it would stop this nonsense. All they have to do is stop the time for the black card for all stoppages on the pitch so the black card is 10 mins and not 10 mins minus all the stoppages.

What a game - fantastic advertisement for Gaelic football. Delighted for Kerry - well done. Commiserations to the Dubs. What a score by O'Shea, what composure.

A much better second half. I thought Dublin were very average for the first 35, and the cynical play was unsavory (speaking of which, what was the story with the Dublin keeper shaking the goalposts for that last free??).

Ref was incredibly inconsistent and seemed to be making it up as he went along.

Congrats to Kerry on a hard fought win.

Dublin had 3 opportunities to draw level and they took the wrong option on all 3 occasions.
Kerry will be favourites by Galway won't be losing any sleep either.

Unbelievable from O'Sé, an incredible kick to win it. Fair play to the Dubs, a word for Ciaran Kilkenny and especially Fitzsimons in that 2nd half, he was sensational in defence after a tough first half and Kilkenny was central to the comeback (along with a wondergoal from Costello).

I think Dublin kicked a lot of wides so will have regrets.

Looking forward to the final, I think Galway-Kerry will be a cracker

Well done Kerry.

Happy enough as a Dub as I thought Kerry could really have smashed us.

Galway in with a great shout in the final imo.

Great game. Well done to both sides. Dubs did really well to come back into it. Derry and Donegal should sit and watch that game several times over to see what you beed to win at this level. Bin that God awful backwards, sideways, hand passing over possession nonsense.

Stick an Armagh Jersey on him and it's death by social media and 3 month ban. But, passion wins this time again.

The ball was there and he went to kick it. No red in my opinion. He didn't kick comerford. He kicked the ball

Honestly don't get the issue with O'Se going for the ball after the keeper spilled it. He has every right. The left leg follow through hurt the keeper, it's unfortunate. It was a soft penalty. Well done to Kerry for sticking it out and showing the stomach to win which they have lacked when push came to shove in recent years. Excellent comeback from Dublin too showing a lot of steel. A fine game. Some lovely scores.

Exciting finish and a great occasion. I fancied Dublin but in truth when teams were confirmed it was hard to see Dublin winning it without Con. As it turned out, it was the difference; Dublin put in some second half performance - how many points would Con have been worth?

Kerry were excellent though, they're Tyrone style in defence and counter, it's easy to see how much respect O'Connor has for that style and how much he knows it cost them in the past, when you look at his coaching team appointments. It did have an 03 semi final feel to it, in the sense Kerry just had to win somehow and fair play to them for finding a way, it certainly wasn't vintage football but they'll hardly care tonight.

The free though deserves all the headlines, what a kick under that pressure. I sense it's a game where both counties will now go in opposite directions like post Cluxton kick in 2011 but for a lot of that Dublin team what a journey they went on.
