"non left"? Apart from left and right being an almost meaningless concept these times, it certainly has no value in Irish context. All of the main parties share the same view on 90% of the main issues. SF desperately attempting to reclaim some sort of radicalism, but too late maybe. Too dominated now by people who have little or nothing in common with founders of Provos. And I am not referring to the armed struggle which was rightly abandoned as counter-productive apart from all the lives wasted on every side, but to their ideas of Irish nationalism and freedom. Think you are right about SF Barney. I sometimes wonder what their more prominent voices, have with the party's original political aims, Irish Unity and and political freedom, when the Provisionals split from the Official Sinn Fein in 1969.

True. The idea of there being unity among the people of ireland anytime soon is so far fetched that you'd wonder is there any point in even striving for it. Anyone know if same rules apply in Croke Park for all games. Will the rugby supporters (Leinster & Northhampton) be able to bring alcohol to their seats for the semi-final in a couple of weeks time. Why, what harm would it do? Can be a pain in Aviva with people coming in/out. Is it a no drink rule for other events held there?

At a concert a few years back in Croke Park I attended we were able to bring our drinks to our seats. I presume the rugby fans will be able to do the same. Also I attended the two rugby games at Páirc Uí Chaoimh and was also able to drink at our seats. So I imagine drinks will be okay at the Leinster game

Only time I've seen people drinking in seats was in Yankee Stadium. Can't say it adds anything. Why anyone would feel need to have a drink while watching a match is beyond me. Having said that, allowing everyone other than ourselves to do so in our stadiums is rather amusing and perhaps indicates the regard the accountants hold us in. Prayers and congratulations to the 48 families who are finally getting some justice for their killing in the Stardust nightclub. Heard one father of victim No 6 on radio this morning, heartbreaking listening to him and he was at family wedding in Liverpool when the tragedy happened. Time for the government to stand . I'm delighted they got a verdict and the truth finally is out, the survivors and victims families now need a state apology and compensation, hard to believe it took so long to get to the truth.

Unlikely and its a gaa rule or stadium management in conjunction with gaa. This is what is known as a non sequitur ..... I should be charging tuition fees at this stage, Drinking while watching a match doesn't happen at GAA matches because it is not permitted, Croke Park, however, appears to have no problem with it when nicer people are crashing for the day.
