Leinster Football Semi Finals 2022

Dublin Meath match would have no atmosphere no matter where you played it.

I've been at games in Croker with about 20kn at them with good atmospheres because of the game being good.

The county boards are sheeple. Simple as.

In my opinion its the double header that is the main problem when it comes to the atmosphere. The crowd gets spread out accordingly. So with 38,000 there in total there was probably at most 25,000 there at any one time.

You could have 20,000 people there in the best seats in the Hogan and Cusack with a great atmosphere - you can get that with Dublin's league games.

The Leinster final won't be a sell out - but there will be a great atmosphere. I hope the game will be worthy of the occasion this year.

Surprised the GAA didn't offer Croke Park up to "The Pool" and their couch potato Paddy supporters who might drag themselves out the door for the day. In the interests of diversity and reparation for The Ban and all ... :-)

:-) Who are "The Pool" - I don't know their stuff. Are they as good as Ed Sheeran?

Ennis holds less than 20K and the atmosphere was brilliant for Clare-Limerick at the weekend. The reason, because it was full of course.
Of course the one-sided nature of the game didn't help. I've heard some whinging from a former Meath player about it not being a fair fight. The same arguments we've had for a decade. Last Sunday said far more about Meath than it did about Dublin.

I remember when the gaa opened Croke Park to rugby and soccer and there was a Muppet outside croker with a banner saying "No foreign games in Croke park" This Muppet was wearing a Celtic soccer Jersey. I kid you not. You could nt make it up.

The reason the game in Ennis had a great atmosphere was that it was a brilliant game.

Absolutely. It does help when the stadium isn't two-thirds empty though.

As a Dub living in Wexford, I didn't bother. I knew the result and kept my money and my diesel.
Sad to see the game in the province at that level of apathy

Looking at Meath on Sunday ye have enough to be worrying about without looking at Kildare or Glenn Ryan

Has already beaten more big teams in half a season than McEntee did in 6.

Honestly can't take you seriously having seen you, in absolute seriousness, say Meath had a 50/50 chance of winning Leinster this year. When was it… last week?

Congrats to the young Dubs, Leinster Minor Champs.

Some second half performance.

Really enjoyable game.

Well, they were right about having nothing to do with the FAI.
