Replying To katser:  "Well nobody saw that result coming.....my heart goes out to Clare! It just didn't happen one of those days where nothing went right.
Too much panic shooting from long range with lots of mistakes and wides. Clare created enough scoring chances to win that game, 23 wides is unacceptable.
Hard luck Clare, just wondering were they over confident coming into the game and expecting to walk their way through KK into the All Ireland Final!"
"Well nobody saw that result coming....."

I did, and Paddy Power is the worse off for it.

Right, so there'll be no Limerick v Waterford, or Limerick v Clare trilogy this year, as nearly everyone has been predicting. Who's for a Kilkenny v Galway trilogy?

I'm not even going to bother looking back through the other pages on this thread, but there is NOWAY you predicted Kilkenny to win...not a chance!

You're right Katser, if Clare just pointed the 23 wides. they'd have won by 11. Different ballgame altogether.

It seems you're taking a lot of pleasure from it.
Clare brought a lot to this championship but didn't turn up today. Lohan got a lot wrong and didn't make changes when he should have. It was hard watch lads hit wide after wide when most of the shots were never on. Decision making was really shocking. Mcinerney and Fitzgerald had decent games but both hit 5 wides by my count and most weren't even close to being on.
Hoping for a game of hurling tomorrow."
Well said. Some Limerick posters here have been on edge since Clare took them on face to face. They've one of the best team that ever played the game but some seem to have edged across to the vile side of very poor victors!

Thank the Lord for the Banner this year.. They brought so much to the Championship..

Replying To Canuck:  "A lot made of Conlon missing and he was a big loss. It puts in prospective for us of missing Prunty, DeBurca, Barron and Daly. I honesty was not too surprised with the result but of the magnitude of it. The thing about Kilkenny is the longer the breaks they get, the better they are. That is how they accumulated so many All-Irelands. For years on meaningful game and then in the final. If you are going to knock them out and that does not happen too often you had better do it in the round robin. In the game when they get on top, they skewer you. Clare won the second half by two points but 24 wides is terrible and the first half trouncing."
For sure. We found that out the last day when we lost ROC after 11 minutes and Chin done his hamstring before halftime. Any team needs their big players on the pitch and playing well.

Well the amount of frees they missed was outrageous. And as everyone knows if a margin is kept reasonable the leading side may not get scores as easy. Having said that KK were at least 6 points a better team to day, but Clares awful shooting really made their task much easier. However the Banner have some good young talent coming through and despite todays heavy set back they could still be a force to be reckoned with next year. I wonder did the tough games Limerick and Wexford have any residual effect on them today and did the months break actually help KK. I hope I am right in the latter suggestion.

Kilkenny were awesome today. Amazing first touch. Always taking the right options. TJ a cut above the rest. Forget the scoring, he's some playmaker.

Puts a new light on Leinster hurling if that's the calibre of team coming out…. Wexford showed that last week also. KK should be a great match for Limerick if we fall short tomorrow as expected.

He said "result" not "winning so easily".
Maybe you should learn how to read and understand what is being said before replying.

'Captain hindsight'? Do know what hindsight means? I placed my bets on Kilkenny before the game started, have you ever tried placing a bet on a game after it's finished?

Time to start playing both semi finals on the same day again. It looks awful having so many empty seats.

You normally blow about your predictions and bets on here before hand reference the upcoming games, BUT I didn't notice your prediction for this weeks Hurling games?
Ok I said Galway and Clare to win, BUT I did Kilkenny to win 1st half 11/8 and at half time Clare +13 online!

There should have been a curtain raiser to both semi finals. It would help boost the attendance. I can't understand why they stopped putting minor games prior to a senior game. It makes absolutely no sense. And it would be an occasion that many minor players would relish, playing in front of a big crowd. Even a camogie championship match could havd been arranged for CP today

I see Anthony Daly say fair play to Kilkenny on capitalising on a below par Clare performance.. and Clare still haven't recovered from the amazing Munster championship... as far as I can see Clare only had to break a sweat in 2 games in the Munster Championship.. mmm maybe the better team won today and maybe just maybe the Leinster Championship isn't so bad after all
