Totally agree with you about Ballybay. They always keep showing up, would remind you of Mayo in some way. Hopefully is a cracker of a final for every ones sake. Clones looks in great shape and I am sure the final will be there.

Can't agree with saying Inniskeen were disappointing.. They conceded a very soft goal over the keepers head and the first goal wasn't anything special either from Scotstown. Inniskeen played with heart, they fought for everything, ran hard at scotstown and definitely were not afraid of them or of their experience. Not taking away from Scotstown though, They are worthy finalists, they weathered all the storms well and got over the line. Not be easy beaten.

10 finals in a row for Scotstown is some going too, even with the large pool of players.

Think Inniskeen would have to be very disappointed with their performance on Sunday. They were turned over so often by Scotstown around the Scotstown 45 through lack of game smarts, taking the ball into 2 on 1 tackles. It's not like 2020 semi final when they played well but came up short. I thought they were poor and will have a lot of regrets.
Great to see Sean Jones playing so well but he was on his own.
With McConville gone, every ex Armagh and Tyrone player/bluffer will be hoping to get that gig.

It's no surprise that both finalists are from Group A and most likely both relegation survivors will be from Group A too, it was a far harder Group. The only club from Group B that can be happy with their 2022 Championship is Latton. Their progression from first game to last was huge.

Could not understand how slow Inniskeen came out of defence. Scotstown were able to get back and set in defence every time. Playing ball over and back the field.

Everytime Inniskeen gave direct ball into Sean Jones, he won it. Had the better of his man all the time. Couldn't understand how they didn't try it more often.

Inniskeen will be very disappointed as I feel Scotstown will be caught out this year.

It's not that the Inniskeen gig is that glamours its more the eyewatering money that mcconville was getting per session.. Inniskeen most definitely didn't get value for money over the last 3 years.
If any man coming in can get anywhere near them figures well good luck to him I tip my hat to him...

Inniskeen went up on the tales of Carrick in 2018- amazing where both teams are currently at.

Maybe part of the interview process should be a test to see how far the candidate can kick a water bottle. :-)

Hard to believe Carrick and Blayney are both relegated. With the exception of Harps, both clubs have the biggest pick in terms of population in the county and still are headed for Intermediate. A truly shambolic display from both clubs this year, it takes some doing to fail that miserably.

Ok the flip side, great achievement for both Donaghmoyne and aughnamullen. Pajo the calf would've been proud.

It had been coming for the faughs, club had fallen into complete dissaray in recent times, they seem to be doing ok now in terms of underage and club structure but when stalwarts of 90s and 00s stopped playing, they weakened considerably as a force, 2007 since they made a county final. One of monaghans greatest clubs in all fairness but they go down and its deserved, a miserable season by them in every regard. They should be doing better like the emmets who haven't who a senior title in 103 years. Ballybay with a much smaller pick as a town club put both them to shame.

No. Play-off not necessary.
Blayney bottom, automatically relegated.
Carrick finished 3rd in champo group and can't play themselves, so also automatically relegated.
Donaghmoyne and Aughmullen stay in senior.

carrick are relegated.

They finish 3rd in the relegation group due to them, Donaghmoyne and Aughnamullen finishing on 4 points

If them and Aughnamullen had to finish level on points theyd have finished above them due to head to head but once 3 teams level it comes down to score difference.
