Replying To sleater:  "I'm sure Colm Shalvey would have stats on who was top scorers list and under 28 in IFC and SFC. I would make an educated guess that it would include the following:

SFC
Stephen Mooney
Aaron Mulligan
Max Maguire
Tommy Mallen
Sean Jones
Andrew Woods
Fergal Hanratty

IFC
Eddie Walsh
Max McGinnity
Liam McDonald

Bobby McCaul and Cian Conlon missed their respective championships with injury but you would suspect if fit would be on top scorers list.

Mallen, McGinnity and Maguire have time on their side. Mulligan - is there an issue between him and Bannigan? (Mulligan got barely any game time in his last season in the panel and Bannigan was a selector then). Jones is of the most naturally gifted players we have who's talent is matched by his inconsistency.

I'd also say Monaghan's style of attacking play has become so ponderous that it doesn't get the best out of a special talent like Mooney."
Not a midfielder among them, we haven't had a proper midfield pairing since the mid 80s, not once, that's the start and end to our limitations.
