Heard young Jamie Mooney is stepping away from U20 set up this year to focus on his new business. Big loss for 20s. Could they convert Canice Murphy into a keeper like the father?

First time posting here but I've been a long-time reader of the forum.

With the county not going as well as we'd hoped, I've been looking ahead to the club championships and said I'd throw in my predictions.

Junior Championship: I'm going with Rockcorry. From what I'm hearing, they've had lads back in since January and, for the first time in many years, they've been off the drink and out of the pubs. If that's true and they've really bought into it, that kind of focus and preparation could make a massive difference at junior level.

Intermediate Championship: I'll tip Killanny. They have a strong squad and look like a team ready to push on. If they get a run at it and build momentum, they could take serious stopping.

Senior Championship: It's hard to look past Scotstown. They make up a big portion of the counties land mass and have the depth.

That's my early shout anyway - be interesting to hear what the rest of ye think.

Rockcorry vs Kileevan should be one to look forward to this year then, both teams putting in a big off season by all accounts

Not sure about Rockcorry. Few decent players alright but very small panel. Had a good season a few years ago when Gerry Rehill got them fit but a few injuries last year and they didn't count. There's a couple of good minors coming in so you never know. But
Drumhowan, Aghabog, Seans, Currin, Blackhill, Toome all ahead of them in my opinion. Oram and Killeevan will improve too.
Intermediate
Aughnamullen must be strong favourites. Ballybay have experience but a lot of players with miles on the clock.Emyvale with a full squad could be close.Donaghmoyne, with Paddy Martin, have good players too...
Can't see any of the others in contention.
Relegation: Eire Og and Doohamlet/Clones/Tyholland
Senior
Scotstown, as long as Rory plays.
Relegation: 2 from Cremartin, Carrick, Blayney and Corduff.

Only one team will be relegated from Senior and intermediate ,
new league structure adopted at last county board meeting.
2027 structure will have 12 senior clubs, 10 intermediate and 8 junior.

Thanks. Didn't realise that was coming into effect this year.

A serious crop, I wonder will that make any difference with the lads in charge? Headhunted? More like bought their way to be managers. Plenty of nobody's who have done nothing, barely even managed. Any other opinions?

just a quick note on lads stating that some players arent stepping up from u20s or club or whatever...remember about 10 years ago or less we were all waiting on mccarthy to step up and then he finally did and won a deserved all star...some things take time...support the lads in good times and bad...UP THE FARNEY
