Replying To ORIELMAN85:  "Did you study any maths in school?"
Why's that now? Are the towns not the biggest populated areas of the county?

I suggest you do another bit of research into some of the clubs you named and check out the numbers of GAA players available to them.

Replying To countymonaghan:  "Agreed! Most Senior teams are villages and small enough ones at that. Blayney, Carrick, Monaghan Harps, Clones, Ballybay all have the biggest numbers and aren't challenging anything worth talking about. Could this be the first year ever that there is no 'Town' team in senior football? (depending on intermediate results)

I wouldn't say there is many countys in the country could say that."
Just enlighten me to how there will be no town team in Senior next year.

So what would be your excuse for your embarrassing forays into Ulster?

to be fair he said populated areas not clubs. the country clubs do seem to get their hands on players and keep them....towns have different things going on and different sports too - just a comment based on no fact checking...i feel like in the country everyone knows someone and if your not at the football you'd be quizzed on why not whereas in the town you've got a broader mix of people and maybe less affiliation with local gaa
