Replying To Monaghan37:  "Banty may dip back into the transfer market after today's performance. Corduff on paper are an intermediate team that are coached really well, and no amount of money in the world can change that (whether they like it or not) . They never have been anything and they never will be anything. Average team END OF"
Excellent result in Clontibret. Football was the winner

Yes I do certainly agree with that height statement but I do believe the bog will win junior in the next 1-3 years they are building there way up to where they want to be and where they will be and as for mickey typical move from him ….

Yes definitely not disagreeing about height but the bog will be out of junior in the next 1-3 years they're slowly making their way up to where they want to be and where they will be. As for Micky typical move from him …….

Totally agree with you there, Aghabog have showed promise here and there missing that league was a blow but their team size will not get them far, Eire og wiped them in the first half Leonard a huge difference maker. New game new rules size matters more than it ever has. The bog need a different breeding strategy or will remain a junior outfit for another lifetime.

I only got to the games on Saturday at the weekend in Inniskeen and latton and my god they were poor displays. That ballybay team would've had their hands full with many intermediate teams I'd say, Inniskeen beating them at a canter. Was disappointed in augnamullen went in thinking that be a tight enough affair but let down poorly in the end by silly errors from the keeper and a few others further out, quickly killed the game. Would've loved to have got to clontibret.

Rockcorry 3 men sent off in the second half and oram still couldn't beat them.

No real shocks in Senior championship all weekend after attending the 3 games. Maybe just a display how poor some teams were.
Inniskeen beat a very poor Ballybay team in 3rd gear. Ballybay look in serious trouble. Dessie Ward a massive miss, he makes that team click. Inniskeens Jones, Woods, Meegans were all flying and they pulled up in the second half where
Ballybay got some easy scores.

Latton and Aughnamullen was a good tight affair, local teams always is going to be like that but I did expect Latton from the beginning, they are moving well. Latton v Maghercloone next week should be a game worth going to.

Truagh and Cremartin seemed to be close at stages but Truagh just having too much. Maybe someone who was at it can comment on that. Massive game for Truagh next week v Corduff, win that and they are in good drying ground.

Corduff were very disappointing, so much talk about them and they brought nothing only loads of shouting from the line. Donegals McGee is a big man and all those good things but what did he bring to them? Nothing. Clontibret midfield destroyed him, made him look well below a county players standard. McManus still running it. Like Inniskeen, Clontibret pulled up in the second half and conceded some easy goals but never looked too worried. Not sure how Boyle Sports had Corduff strong favourites. Strong challenge for Clontibret next week though.

Looking forward to another round of games next weekend.

Corduff v Truagh - Truagh
Scotstown v Clontibret - Draw?
Aughnamullen v Inniskeen - Inniskeen
Maghercloone v Latton - Maghercloone but tight

Get a game myself?? I'm 35 years of age for goodness sake my playing days are well and truely over. Presuming you haven't a clue about football and you might be 10 years of age as I am a truagh man and I believe emyvale won a championship 6/7 years ago? You obviously haven't seen too many comments as you would clearly know I am not an emyvale man. Just another fake account trying to get reactions.. mighty yellows presuming you might be a Sean's man? Weren't so mighty against currin, only for drico yous would be stuck down battling away with killeevan, oram and rock like yous were last year..

Ballybay will be intermediate don't think there is any saving them. Strange that no town team in the whole county can compete.

Clontibret v Corduff was one way traffic for most of the game. Nothing too exciting bar Clontibret scoring 3-1 in 3 minutes.

Took a walk around their grounds at half time, what a facility. Serious work don from the end of the season last year. They have it all, loads of volunteers, shops, parking, toilets, pitches. Seems to be a massive community effort down there. Soon as game was over the litter picking had started getting all back to normal for the next day out.

Well I guess it's a Typical man who's sits at the bar and talks bad about football teams and hasn't a clue just always has to get there 50 cents in but on the other side of things I'm really looking forward to seeing our boys give Truagh there fill of it in championship and best of luck.

Jason McGee first game calm down, jealousy is an awful thing.
Corduff will be in the county final.

He is comin from a Donegal team who competed in the All Ireland final, he wouldn't have to be that special to stand out in an average Corduff team. But he didn't look any different than the rest of their team.

Not quite sure what theres to be jealous of? Some young lads who are Corduff born and raised, who will be there a lot longer than said signing, missing out on game time due to a Donegal man coming in? Not sure whats to be jealous of.

Truagh will topple them next week again I think and leave them bottom with Cremartin.

Anyone else agree with this, from what I've seen over the weekends championship match's and during the league referees are letting a lot slide etc.. shouting at keepers when taking kick outs and so on at the start of year it was a lot stricter I'd like to hear your thoughts..

Great to see football winning. Mc manus still absolutely flying, would love to see him giving the county team one more go with these new rules. Still very hard to predict who will be in the final this year

Looking at different games over the weekend. The level of refereeing in Monaghan is just terrible.

Referees from clubs in the same divisions should not be officiating games within that division come championship time.

Was at both junior games yesterday some soft cards given in the Rockcorry game not sure what the ref saw, then headed to smith borough where there was the most blatant red cards I've seen given as yellows.

Referees from clubs not in the division should be in charge of these games so there are no influencing factors in their calls. We need our referees but we also need good fair referees.
