Some good young names listed above id be bringing in ahead of anyone that turns 34 next year regardless of who the are, Heslin is an exception, can stay in the 3 up and can kick from anywhere. I have watched a few malachys games and Lynch was solid but not outstanding by any means just because Buddha says something bias in a podcast doesnt make it true, plenty of lads between 19-27 worth a punt. Luke Loughlin is 31 and wasn't out in the wilderness for the last 2-3 years, Same goes for Connellan which id imagine is his last year and dublin transfer rumours about. Junior Football Semi Finals, any thoughts? Kilbeggan & Josephs to qualify or The Downs & St Lomans to qualify or a split between both? Hard ones to call. Pity both are at separate venues. Would have been a decent double header. Greengrass1 (Westmeath) - Posts: 101 - 21/09/2026 16:12:02 2694522 Link 0 |

St Joseph's have been knocking at the door now a few years with a very young team; maybe they've now learned and matured and are ready to make the step. I feel their achilles is coming up against physicality or at least it has been. Kilbeggan were unlucky to be relegated last year and tht big defeat to Joseph's was interesting. Will go with a Kilbeggan/Joseph's final. DelaneyCup2026 (Westmeath) - Posts: 58 - 21/09/2026 16:33:00 2694523 Link 0 |

One venue would have been ideal but you would need to play the double header on Saturday or Sunday and no way would that happen with Senior clubs involvement. Friday night is only ever going to be able for one game really
