Broken leg unfortunatley, big collision for that Meath goal chance, putting their bodies on the line.

What an occasion! We absolutely should enjoy this moment but what it has given us is a real chance of getting to a Leinster final that we can actually win for the first time since 2004. Also getting into the final gets us into the sam Maguire with a favourable draw as a runner up! This Kildare game now is the biggest game we have been in for years! Congrats to Mark McHugh and his management team and all the players and squad on a fantastic performance and win yesterday.2 weeks now to get bodies and injuries back in shape before another huge game against Kildare.Best wishes and speedy recovery to Conor McCormack who unfortunately suffered a broken leg in saving that effort from Meath's McBride.Get well soon C-Mac Bruno@1 (Westmeath) - Posts: 315 - 20/04/2026 08:58:54 2667417 Link 3 |

Well done Westmeath on a hugely impressive win. Like a lot of people, I had earmarked Meath as likely winners of Leinster this year, but your lads fairly torpedoed that notion yesterday. Just a pity that we had to follow it on X and Scór Beo. I got the GAA+ annual subscription as a Christmas present, and there wasn't one game of football available on it yesterday, Dhia sábháil, ach sin scéal eile.
