Replying To Fionn: "Our midfield and over reliance on Con will be our undoing though.
I think the Louth game could give is a true indication of where we are at....
Hearing Con is a major doubt for it. Injuries seem to be happening very regularly to him this last couple of seasons, unfortunately.
As for our hurlers, thankfully we have Kilkenny in the Neller. The place will be packed. The game away to Wexford will be a cracker also tbh. With away to Galway sandwiched in between. A tough 3 consecutive weeks..." Yeah the Con issue keeps rearing it's head re injuries. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he jacks it in after this season. I do think we will beat Louth on Saturday though, if all the negative talk since the win over Wicklow does not light a fire inside each and every squad member then I don't know what will! A good win against tough opposition would be just what's needed to get this squad up and running, build some confidence and start looking ahead. I don't even want to contemplate a loss.

I don't think anyone can fault their spirit. They have never given up in any game. They are just not good.
Will probably go down on Saturday as it is first time for a long time that a Dublin football team is in one of those Al Pacino moments where they are facing existential life or death on the pitch!
Expect there will be a big crowd and hope they can come out the right side of what could be one of the games of the year.

I think if our footballers lose to now favourites Louth, there will be more than Con having thoughts about retirement at the end of this season.
I previously predicted 2-3 to call it a day at the end of this inter county season, but a bad Leinster campaign will see that number increase, sadly....
Anyway, hopefully the fire in their belly's is on show this weekend - it needs to be. This game could be season defining tbh.
#NoPressure ;o)

Con needs to be rested or his Hamstring injury will get worse. Look at poor Luke Loughlin - season over in April with a Hamstring injury ;o(
Need Ciaran back to bolster our weak midfield area. And hopefully a couple of the other walking wounded can return.

Positive news from the Dublin camp. It appears nearly all the injuries have just about cleared up.
Will be interesting to see if Con gets a run out though. Roll on the weekend...!

Dublin squad to face Louth in the Leinster Football Semi Final in Portlaoise on Sat evening, has just been announced:-
Comerford Murchan Doran Byrne Lahiff McMorrow Kennedy POCB Howard Bugler Scully Kilkenny Small McGinnis CON
subs:- O'Sullivan, MacMahon, E.O'Callaghan, O'Connor, Murphy, Guiden, Dunne, Theo, N.O'Callaghan, Luke, Costello.
Great to see some of our injured players back and ready to go.
If we click, we have the players in that squad to give us a good chance v current favourites and Leinster champions Louth. We are still missing 4 players, but it is better than I expected.

Replying To Fionn: "Looks like there is life in the Cats yet... They are giving the Yellow Bellies a bit of a hammering...." The worst I've seen from us in over a decade.

Lee is not far off a return apparently. This game was just too soon for him Barney. I would love to see him stay injury free. Class player.
