Meant to be the top 30 players on current Inter County form and he threw Con O'Callaghan in because of what he recently scored for his club. Replying To Lockjaw: "Murphy & Langan come to think of it." He hasn't picked hardly any players outside of the big 4, with only a couple of exceptions. He has not picked McManus either, who based on the last 2/3 years is probably more deserving than Langan or Murphy. Nobody can doubt Murphy's class as being one of the best over the last 15 yrs but he is getting on now. I think O'Hora is a bit of a knee jerk one. He was a sub up to the semi final I think. He was effective but I would not say one of the best players in the country. Every county, even the smaller ones would have a player or two that should be in with a shout, but with only 30, mist are likely to be the top 4. Like he picked McBrearty in his top 30, and actually justified it with the winning point Paddy scored against Derry. Great score granted - but McKaigue had him in his pocket for that whole match. As for O'Callaghan, he's young and has a lot of advantages playing on a team that rarely leave home so he has every chance of bouncing back next year.
