Replying To Viking66:  "Agree that would be his likeliest destination Bon. He would be a good appointment for Kildare or any other 2nd tier county though. I know some people find his public persona irritating but theres no denying his love of hurling can be infectious. He would certainly raise the profile of hurling in any county he got the top job in."
I'd like to see him take a year away then come back to a Kildare or a Carlow, etc and at least raise the interest in these places.

I think he will take two years out and take the Kerry hurling job after Stephen Moloumphy.

He was rumoured for the Kerry job this summer but then he obviously held out for the Galway gig

He'd be a great appointment for someone like us here in Kildare. If he just came in and gave a year, he would give the whole think a massive lift. Especially at a time when there has never been as many youngsters playing the game. It would have a massive nock on effect .
He done a small bit of coaching with Confey GAA the year they won their first senior hurling title. He was there in Nebridge for the final.

Creative accountancy!

On a serious note, it would be great as above if Davy was to team up with Kildare for a year or two.

The numbers playing must be at all time high and there is a good spread of talent as evidenced by Naas again.

Highly unlikely to happen, unfortunately. Anthony gave us a great boost when he came in as manager. Was perfect timing with some very good underage players coming through and caught the imagination. Clare lads too i think appreciate the challenge of coming from a position of weakness.
