Louth looked good when going forward. Mickey Harte is too defensive minded, and if he allowed Louth to play football, would do much better. Cork, in any case, will be underdogs to every team, bar Limerick, in next round!

That was disappointing today. 1 point down at half time and not even playing. If we got that second half early goal could of won it playing bad. Cork were very beatable and they were there for the taking. Can't see them going far. Should of contested midfield and pushed up on them entire second half. Tactics not easy on the eye when counter attacking game not working....Best of luck to Cork, nice people

Mickey got this one wrong, Cork are sh...t. If Louth were allowed to play they would have won. Cork will not win another game.

Disappointing result but considering we had to start without Casey, Tommy and Conor we did well to be still there at finish. A bit of luck and we would be facing Limerick again. Anyway it was another good year and further progress was made. Thanks Mickey. It was good to get to Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Kerry can't say that this year.
It's back to the clubs now. Are the players from county panel free to play in last four rounds of leagues, starting next week-end.

It's getting to the business end of the leagues very fast now .In division 1 looks like Blues-Moctas,Mary's and Brides are safe for top 6 with a dog fight between 6 teams who have 9-7 points. Cooley and SOM look like being in the bottom 6 relegation battle. Two interesting weekends coming up. Is it fair to have three points for last five games ?

Consistent fixture list has been great so far this year

Agreed. Has been far easier for lads to plan work and lives around football instead of the other way around, hopefully it's here to stay.

Joe Ward

Winner - Jocks - Unless the have some injuries.

Next - Marys, Blues, Mattock and Louth V in chasing pack?

Would you not put The Pats in that chasing pack?

Not when they couldn't get in to the Top 6 and that experience would work for the rest.

Fair point MR. I still think they'll be difficult to beat in the championship.

Shur the first eight rounds of the league were pot luck without the county men. I don't think there is a lot of difference between the top eight or nine teams in Division 1 and the Gaels flying in Division 2. Should be a great championship.

The Marys ahead of the Jocks? Why that Ollie?

I tipped the Mary's last year so I'll stick with them again this year. It won't be much between them, the Jocks and the Blues. The Mochs are flying. Could be darkhorses this year. I cant see anyone else winning Joe.

Fair play Ollie. I'd have the Jocks at the top. The next five rounds of league games will tell a story.

Ah yeah Greengrass. The Jocks are the team to beat. The great JP Rooney is hanging around for another year. They are going for a three in a row. The Jocks have come along way since beating Mattock in a relegation play off in 2015. Beating quarter finalists in 2016, beating semi finalists in 2017, beating finalists in 2018 and 2019. Winners in 2020 and 2021. I'm tipping all mid Louth clubs to win their respected championships and all Drawda clubs as outsiders.
