Replying To Al_Maguire:  "So no Shannon view from where you live then. An indicator you may be also prone to exaggeration."
That very presumptuous of you to conclude the Shannon in my name is with reference to the Shannon river.
Actually it's associated with my daughter name.

Replying To Al_Maguire:  "Semi final keeping teams apart won't be impossible if Galway and Kerry win.

Donegal and Tyrone be kept apart that's it.

If Armagh win an equal draw will be needed."
I glad to be corrected.
Thanks

As a matter who does Donegal supporters want to win in the Armagh/Kerry match..

If KERRY wins

it will an open draw between the 4 teams.

If ARMAGH wins it will be

TYRONE and DONEGAL in one pot
MEATh and ARMAGH in another pot.

Then the draw will decide

WHICH OF THESE SEMIFINAL OPTIONS WOULD YOU PREFER.

If Armagh win it won't be Armagh and Meath in one pot.

Surely if Kerry win, Kerry and Meath are kept apart and Tyrone and Donegal are kept apart.

If Armagh win, are we not playing Meath as we played Armagh in Ulster final and Tyrone in groups.
Armagh played Tyrone in Ulster semis but they've not used that to separate in groups onwards since so surely fairer to avoid a repeat from groups or provincial finals.

Replying To Lockjaw:  "Have to pay credit to Paddy McBrearty. It can't be easy for him as captain not to be starting. He's a proud, competitive lad & you only have to see that picture of him celebrating doing the rounds to see what it means to him.

His trademark lofted points yesterday on the trust citeog were greeted with huge guttural roars and for me, it was like the knife went fully into Monaghan there, and their day was more or less done.

Bulaí fir Paddy!"
Ye, Paddy after a poor substitute appearance against Louth it was great to see him back to his brilliant best. His experience could be vital in 2 weeks time.

All meetings are taken into consideration for semi finals. So Armagh have played Tyrone previously too.

Armagh will not be in the draw. The only draw Donegal and Tyrone in one bowl. Kerry and Meath in the other bowl.

Can't be that.
All four go in the drum random draw.
Tyrone played donegal
Meath played Kerry

Meath it is. They have beaten Galway, Kerry and Dublin but will probably be big underdogs again v us. What a mad season.

First time since maybe 1992( well before my time in bookies so could be wrong) Donegal go into an All Ireland semi final match as favourites in the game.

If someone had told you at beginning our path to final would be Louth, Monaghan and Meath, you'd have been delighted with that route all things considered.

Would guess our semi final will be the Saturday evening as they get better crowd for the other semi final on the Sunday

Your far too interested in Donegal affairs?
He didn't want what was said in the County Board statement associated in any way with Team and Management because if Donegal lost the match it would be said that it was sour grapes on Donegal's part.
He said that the Team and Management after the Tyrone defeat were always prepared for games 3 weeks in a row.
You and people like you can say what you want about Jim but he is honest in what he says.

Yeah Saturday 5pm throw in would be the best. Not great for some travelling back but gives us the extra day to plan for both semi final and final and gives Jim the chance to watch other semi final with laser analysis to see how to take down the other finalist if we win.

No I didn't. Jim didn't attack the County Board. The Chairperson was on local radio during the week stating that the statement was nothing to do with the Team or Management. They were saying because of player welfare they deserved a 7 day turnaround instead of 6. I believe it's the first time that a team had to play a Championship match inside 7 days.
