Makes me nostalgic for this time last year when we were being told for certain that Dominic Corrigan had been appointed manager of Killoe. A few days later the same poster claimed that Trevor Smullen would be managing Connollys. It's a bit of Christmas tradition i suppose, like Fairytale of New York on the radio! I didn't mention any names as it could scupper any potential deal. Just like how I didn't mention Dolan's name at the beginning, until it was confirmed they had moved on from him. I had it out before the weekend that there was 'white smoke in Newtown' and it would be announced over the weekend. But, yeah, you just choose to ignore that. Lads, has it even been announce anywhere about Corrigan taking over Clonguish? Wasn't it a 2 horse race between him and Bonner for the Fermanagh job before Bonner got it? Why would he come down to Longford to manage a club team from there if he's been heavily linked with county jobs? Surely he would look to Fermanagh, Monaghan or Tyrone clubs who he has previous experience of managing in....even Leitrim.
