Well said datsit, for too long it's been Declan Reilly, Dermot Brady, Shane mulligan etc being named as the hero's after games in Longford

I agree also with the sentiment that Ardagh Moydow will struggle . They have struggled against teams that had good forwards because whilst their own forwards and midfield are up to the standard. Their goalkeeper and defence are not. They drew with Abbeylara who were without numerous players on the day including Sean Fagan their player of the championship and Robbie didn't start. And they couldn't get over the line against Rathcline who had nothing to play for. And beat Mullinalaghta without Cian Mackey. In fairness to Liam Keenan he has them well coached and fit , they play the new rules as well as anyone in this championship and that's why they are where they are. I think they've reached their ceiling unfortunately for them and I hope Liam takes the Longford job, be great to have a local man, former player and captain over the team. Not sure where any of ye are getting us to beat Ardagh/Moydow by 15 points from?!! To me, it seems like outsiders trying to get inside the heads of our young squad and hope complacency creeps in. Frank74 (Longford) - Posts: 242 - 10/09/2026 10:53:15 2693373 Link 0 |
