Shades of 99 final for Fenagh today with a last minute goal denying them, only difference is this time they at least get another chance. Brilliantly taken goal by Tom Prior but they will be sickened they didn't hold out . Probably the least Ballinamore deserved, they were the better team for nearly 50 minutes but the goalkeeper going off seemed to change momentum of the game. Ballinamore were more or less in complete control until keeper injury but replacing him with McKeon was a baffling tactical decision, seeing as he is not a goalkeeper as was proven fairly rapidly, his distribution wasn't particularly good and you're removing the option of bringing him on out the field to close out the game which he surely would have. Dean McGovern was extremely good in the first half around the middle, and would make ya think it would be nice to have him back in the county setup. But he was playing more or less as a fullback in the second half before Fenagh went three up which was also very odd. And Honeyman very profligate with the shooting. Fenagh should have closed it out and drove on well when they got a sniff in the second half, but also got two very soft goals to stay in it. Both team left it behind them in different ways, but can't wait for the replay. Serious attendance but as Eslin says slightly quiet atmosphere. I think the advantage now lies with Fenagh. Their younger cohort will now have survived the 'county final experience' and will go into the replay without the pressures today brought. A middling if not great final with a nice scatter of good performances, Riordan O'Rourke and Fergal McLoughlin for Fenagh and Dillon Beirne and Paul Moran showing up well for BSOH. Fantastic final today as a spectacle, end to end stuff great game , hopefully the intermediate final will live up to this final , I've been watching our lads train from out in the car park for the past 2 weeks, if we can stick to what we've been at in training, Annaduff and dromahair will b the best game of the championship, Gethins v Cox get ready folks , Young Adam is what David Clifford is to fossa for us serious talent. Not to mention young Karl has been outstanding for us this year , and of course our servant for many years gary inside .sweeney and kyle harte in our back line, and Clinton his bombing runs will cause havoic if he gets going . I believe we can b the team to finally beat this Annaduff team and give them first loss this championship when it matters the most .
