You can't bleed blood from a stone and berating them for playing in Cavan glosses over the real issue. Maybe it needs to be acknowledged that they need help & financial assistance greater than what their parishioners can provide?

Think most players and supporters would prefer playing or watching games on good pitches in Blacklion or Belcoo than in Glenfarne. Its also closer for many south Leitrim Clubs.

Only Kiltubrid has floodlights. Earlier throw in is difficult with players travelling from college in Limerick, Letterkenny, Dublin. Is Pairc Sean ever going to get lights.

Our centre of excellence lit up like a Christmas tree a lot of nights and yet our home game has to go to Mayo. Absolute disaster ohwow (Leitrim) - Posts: 49 - 25/03/2026 16:17:08 2663141 Link 0 |

Best of luck to the Leitrim under 20s tonight against what looks like a very impressive Galway. leitrim4sam (Leitrim) - Posts: 727 - 25/03/2026 18:22:56 2663175 Link 0 |

Is it true that county games aren't allowed to be played in the centre of excellence? I'm nearly sure I heard that before. All home games being played in cloone is a shocking decision, whatever about other pitched cloone most certainly would not be playable. Gortleterragh have lights now I believe but they might only be training lights.

Galway 2-11 Leitrim 0-11 full time. This isn't a vintage Galway team by any means. I would be very surprised if they challenge Mayo to be honest. galwayman2 (Galway) - Posts: 1375 - 25/03/2026 20:25:17 2663195 Link 0 |
