I'd not be so sure of that now, why would you think he'll automatically win two county titles in a row with a team that was defeated in the final this year by a superior side with a good few years left in them?

Moran is from Roscommon.

Played for Mayo however most know Andy Moran is from a Roscommon town, was edcuated in that Roscommon town and kicked his first football there.

Personally I've nothing against Roscommon people. What a strange statement.

So much so that we went off and played with Mayo. Says it all doesn't it?... anyhow... have ye not got anything else to be entertaining yourselves with?

Makes no odds to us in Leitrim where he's from. He wore the Mayo jersey with distinction and that's all that matters. The proof is in the treacle pudding

He had no choice unless he moved to another Ros town seeing as the Ballagh Club continues to affiliate to Mayo CB.

I think that is a topic you've probably exhausted on the Roscommon page and thread chief. It has no relevance to the Leitrim page, and is indeed irrelevant. He could be from Timbuktu but he still played with Mayo, and now he is manager of Leitrim. Isn't he.

His club was/is Ballaghaderreen and if you care to look up the history of the club you will find that when the club was formed in the late 1800's it was within the Mayo county boundary. A landlord for financial reasons got the said area transferred to within the Roscommon county boundary. The club were correct in not going along with the landlord and maintaining their status as it is today.

Marmalade = nail on head. Nothing to see here move on.
Enjoyable chat with Andy on the Off the Ball Podcast.
His enthusiasm is infectious and hopefully players will respond.
I presume getting out of div 4 is the target.
Just on the club management scene, is Dom Corrigan moved on from the champions, if so has he another job taken ?

And from what I read would be on for another crack at the county scene. I believe he's retiring from the day job soon.

Hard to believe you'd score 1-17 and lose a game but that was the case last night isn't them. The jury remains out on this managerial appointment
