Replying To Viking66:  "What struck me about Galway underage teams up to and including minor was how big they were for most if this millennium. For example your minor team of 2019 made ours look like very small chaps. By the time these lads were all u20 they seemed around the same size. Not sure why that is."
I wouldn't be sure about that either. Seems unlikely in fact, especially in the absence of any hard 'tale of the tape' metrics in relation to these specific squads that you observed. One likely fact anyway is that the Galway lads are unlikely to be 'growing smaller' between the ages of 17-20. Perhaps the Wexford lads are just strawberrying up to full size in their 17-20 year range.

I hope Loughrea don't get too fat and rusty while waiting to play again. I hope Eire Og beat Ballygunner and St Martins beat Ballyhale. Hon Loughrea.

Poor Ulster final but one things for certain, Loughrea won't beat that Derry team. Serious workrate

Slaughtneil almost bet Sarfields last winter in the allireland semi, losing 18-17. They'll be hoping to go one better a year later, and certainly make a final. Loughrea will be hoping the same of course.

They are a super fit team that's for sure.

If Loughrea heads are not fully tuned in they will sent packing.

I remember a cracking drawn match between St Thomas & Loughgiel Shamrocks back in 2013.

Ulster senior club hurling is no joke.

Good defending by that Slaughtneil back line and they have good athleticism around the field but you'd expect Loughrea will be able to hurl around them and will have too many scoring options for them.

In sport I dont think you can call anything is"certain" really before it happens. Probably some Loughrea fans will feel "certain" they will win the semi final but they would be deluded too. Loughrea are a team that are usually known for their workrate too so they have a capability to match Slaughteil in that department. I imagine Loughrea will be favourites for it but a Slaughteil win certainly wouldnt surprise me.
