I don't mind saying that I obviously don't know for sure about the various ways to get to a place in Meath that I'd never heard of before it was mentioned here. It would be like me asking you to tell me a way to get from the Askamore/Kilrush pitch at Ballyroebuck in the Gorey District here in Wexford to the Ferns pitch in the Gorey District, without actually leaving the Gorey District, instead of cutting across a strip of HWH/Bunclody territory in the Enniscorthy District. :)

What I do know is that Google Maps and some of your fellow Meath posters suggest that it's possible all right.

The river in kilkelly divides Aghamore and Kilmovee parishes. Knock I think can choose between neighbouring clubs, Peter Burke did play for Kiltimagh, but most tend to play for Aghamore. I think in football all the Tooreen people play for Aghamore too. Come to think of it Aghamore is probably on the other end of the scale to Ballyhaunis when it comes to catchment area size.

You clearly said on the 7th September "You cannot get to ballinabrackey by road while staying in Meath. It is impossible. No matter where you drive from in Meath you will go through another county to get to ballinabrackey. Kildare Offaly or Westmeath. Use https://www.knowth.com/newgrange-directions.htm and zoom into Clonard and you will see the little side roads off the R401 are still well within the dotted county boundaries and bring you to Ballinabrackey. I have family in Ballinabrackey I am well familiar with roads sir.

Seir kieran would be smallest in Offaly i think, open to correction though, it has around 5000 acreas in area and able to field 3 adult hurling teams is some achievement along with all huge names in the game nationally, the dooleys, coughlans, kevin Kinehan, joe bergin

Again apologies for not been very clear that I was not speaking of clonard. (I forget sometimes that people aren't as tuned in as myself) As many including myself would consider clonard as adjoining part of the parish.
But there you go, if anyone wants a reason why the pup must be stopped fonz has giving you a prime example. Nice to know though I have a new follower. Or is it the same one :).

Actually you can't get there from navan trim kells athboy ashbourne (they'd have been tha main towns when I was growing up) can now include rathoath etc. The road that you talk of is no actually closed, also you'd have to veer into Westmeath to get on the other end of it , that also connects if you go along that road into Offaly, it use to be the main edenderry rd for our use back in the day. Again I cannot fathom how a tiny useless piece of information has got people so heated up to go as far as checking google maps and atlas etc , but sure there you go, I never did and went on all the talk in the area. Even rorysstories (think it was him anyway) did a vid on it. I'll post the link. It mightn't have been him but I'm sure someone will google it for me :).

It literally took seconds to check it out and see that it is doable from anywhere you want to mention in Meath.

It's mad that you're keeping up the pretence when anyone can take a few seconds out of their day to check it out.

It's an interesting, if untrue, fact that's why people would have looked it up after reading your post. It's human nature and nothing to do with getting heated up about it. My initial post was just to let you know as I thought that you'd be interested in knowing that you make it to Ballinabrackey without leaving Meath. The L4018 looks very much open on street view and in anyways it isn't the only option.

You can get to Clonard from anywhere in Meath without leaving Meath if you so wish, and you can get to Ballinabrackey from Clonard without leaving Meath as is clearly seen on all maps, therefore you can get to Ballinabrackey from anywhere in Meath without leaving Meath if you so wish. It won't be the most direct way but you can do it.

You said ANYWHERE in Meath, Clonard IS in Meath. And you can get from Clonard to Ballinabrackley without leaving Meath. 100% you can. If you can do it from Clonard then you can also do it from Kilyon, Hill of Down and other parts of Meath. So your "Useless fact" is actually just Useless. BTW I am not on PUP and never have been. My industry thankfully never stopped for a single day throughout the pandemic.

Ahh sure if you look it up you can find kangaroos in ballinabrackey. Actually have a look at that vid it's quite funny, as I said it is always talked about when I mention I am from ballinabrackey (to Meath people) that it's one place you can't get to by road without leaving the county. And certainly no main route or used road. The road that you speak of is closed off. Use to be before the shell garage as you enter kinnegad (on the Meath side ) more known for it been the main road to a nightclub in a bog in 70s 80s and early 90s called heathervill. Many people will remember it. Another fact for you is that former Westmeath player Larry Giles lived all his life in Meath side of kinnegad. Rossan to be exact.

Btw I'm genuinely not having a pop at you. It's just something us ballinabrackey people always thought. And Meath people backed it up. I'm out of there over 30 years apart from visits , I guess it was a urban myth or in this case a rural myth lol

Pretty much all of Beara I would say Bunny. But Bere Island in particular only has a population of less than 200 and are still operating.

He is the guy who tried to claim Dean Rock was a Meath man because he came from Ballymadun, so you can expect an extremely loose interpretation of county boundaries.
