Just completed a brief review of the Senior.

I will tipping the bookies favorites Xlough this year outright, rather than hedging with a few teams like last year.

In descending order I am listing my rankings below and the reasons why 2-12 are not goin to win:

Xlough - No comment needed
Ramor United - Lacking creativity in the middle 8
Castlerahan - Lacking creativity in the middle 8, and steady backline is also aging.
Cavan Gaels - Lacking team spirit
Kingscourt - Don't score enough from play
Gowna - No C'ship pedigree as of yet, apart from Mark McKeever
Killygarry - Seldom win 2 games in a row
Ballinagh - Too reliant on a few big names
Lavey - Too reliant on a few big names, and in decline
Lacken - Too reliant on Tom Galligan
Laragh United - Too much of a handpassing team to win a winter senior championship
Mullahoran - 3 years away from competing for a Senior, Philip The Gunner 40
Shercock - Panel too thin

I think Cavan have scored an own goal by insisting ALL people attending championship matches require a ticket on their phone this includes under 14's. In Monaghan and Leitrim you can pay cash in.
