Dubs V Mayo

Replying To BilboNaggins:  "Yeah, we need rid of Joyce , an emotional appointment who is very much out of his depth in managing a Senior intercounty football team. I still think with the right management the current Galway panel are still better than the current Mayo panel and should have won the connacht final a few weeks back"
Such a shame Galway kept appointing bad managers for the last 20 years.

Again were did he say Dublin dont have a hope v Mayo ? Again were have i acknowledged he's being doing elsewhere ?
This is what he said on the first page

The Du6s with Small, Murchan and Cooper back now have every chance

I don't think Mayo have overly felt the loss of COC in Connacht

He's guaranteed at least 5pts against Du6lin and capable of more

But you did. You asked where you had acknowledged Jimbo has been paying down Dublins chances all seasons. I showed you where you asked for examples here meaning you're acknowledging he's been doing it elsewhere.

It's all pretty simple really :)

Show we were I said that? What I said is he's been trying to play down Dublin all season. You can try and twist it into something else all you want

Exactly , but you replyed to my post which was asking Leftpeg1 who are the posters who said Dublin dont have a chance v Mayo on this thread , you replyed by saying he's being trying to play down Dublin all season
Now he never said in this thread Dublin dont have a chance v Mayo
So your reply to me was nonsense , you then said he said it in the first page

Galway with the 6 managerial changes, yet in that period Mayo had 7 cracks at Sam in finals.
Each time getting closer and closer but consistently bottling it or self imploding.

Galway lost by 6 points despite mayo having massive injury problems. The gaps bigger than the difference in managers.

Looking forward to this game

Hopefully the Du6s can build on their performance versus Kildare, they have welcomed back seasoned big game players and they have every chance of finding some better form now. It was blatantly obvious to see the absence of these players, we lost both defensively and offensively so much endeavor but all credit to the young lads answearing the call.

I'm not sure about Robbie McDaid' fitness.. does any of my fellow Dubs have any update there?

Mayo are Mayo. I only expect the best from them and Du6lin will need to have Con and Fenton having a far bigger influence on proceedings.

Mayo will be well prepared and we'll up for this but they too have lost some huge talent.

COC being injured hasn't been fully exposed yet IMO

The fella rarely plays poorly against Du6lin and he's almost guaranteed 5+pts before a ball is kicked.

I think the loss of the most potent forward in GAA history will ultimately be the difference in the end but that's only my two cents.

Sure Jimbo has been trying to conside defeat before every game this year. According to him every game is a "bonus" afterwards.

Cillian O Connor is a massive loss to Mayo not only for his great scoring ability but his phenomimal work rate when the opposition have the ball.

Yeah no doubt about it really.

Mayo were able to cope with his loss in Connacht but given his form last season in the business end of the championship, well it's not very easy to replace that and Mayo have greatly relied on him in previous big games versus Du6lin.

Sure we'll see but my two cents is that Mayo have struggled to get enough scores against Du6lin in past and it's not going to be made any easier without COC.

Du6lin are also now in a much improved position with their defense and have options there again. Great news for us Dubs coming into the AI series.

It's still going to be a close run thing but I hope Du6lin can go on and reach their 7th final in a row.
An extraordinary feat never achieved before and another record defining achievement to be attached to the mighty Du6s.
