Tyrone Vs Monaghan Final

Tyrone will likely be hot favourites to lift the Anglo celt but I'm quietly confident that Monaghan will take them.
What's your predictions?

Either could win, Monaghan forward play absolutely brilliant last night, if they can match it again I'd fancy them.

Monaghan would have really put Donegal to the sword today. I can only see a comfortable Monaghan victory with the emotion behind them.

I give Monaghan a big chance too it'll be a tight tussle. While I think there is no doubt Tyrone were deserving winners today they didn't make it easy despite having all the advantages. For me there is question marks about their defense and Monaghan have the players to take advantage of goal chances. However I do think there is still improvement in Tyrone given they are under new management and have players coming back. Conor McKenna has been quiet this year but showed a return to form during his brief cameo today. Be plenty of frees anyways with both teams serial culprits of winning cheap frees.

Monaghan are playing fantastic stuff and on form should be favs but I think Tyrone will have no fear of them, I think Tyrone will shade it, should be a hell of a final though, looking forward to it.

Tyrone are the bookies favorites to win, which doesn't surprise me to be honest, as the general narrative ever since the draw was made was that the winner would come from that side. It'll make no difference to our lads though, I'm sure they'll be fairly confident of winning themselves. It's a 50/50 game really, could make a case for either side. I doubt there'll be much in it either way by the final whistle.

I would say 50/50 at this stage. Monaghan nearly threw it away against Armagh and gave up numerous goal chances which Armagh failed to take. Tyrone are also suspect to leaking goals. Both teams well matched and should be a good game.

Another minefield game, anyone's guess.
Winner should be well conditioned for the semis.

A theme of all the Ulster counties this year seems to be that we're all putting up right scores, but are also more open at the back.

It may well come down to whoever takes their goal chances on the day. Will be interesting to see how the two teams are set up also.

As a Donegal man it has to be said the two best teams in the Ulster championship 2021 are contesting the final this year. I find it hard to call but I'm looking forward to what should be a cracker of a game.

The great thing is that monaghan can play it either way, we have proven v armagh we can hit big scores when playing an open expansive game and proven against fermanagh and Tyrone in league we can compete when its tight and defensive. Both teams literally have 2 game plans and can play it as they see it.

I was hoping for Tyrone as their spread if scorers in the half forward line isn't as good as Tyrone ans armagh proved that we struggle to contain a fluent and scoring half forward line. I think that Tyrone play identical to monaghan at the moment and prefer that traditional running patient game and monaghan play it perfectly aswell.

It will be a game of chess and really could come down to beggan or Morgan hitting a few long range frees or mc manus hitting a few wonder scores. Both half back lines are weak and sludden and harte just like mc anespie and o connell aren't man markers hence why I rathered play Tyrone.

Ordinarily I would say Tyrone will likely win this one, but Monaghan have proven particularly ruthless in front of goal this year. This is something I haven't seen from a Tyrone side in a long time. It's as if they've been trained to do the percentage thing and fist over when a goal is clearly on or a shot on goal when one more pass is on. This type of thing has cost Tyrone in some major matches in Croke Park over the last number of years. Matches that one green flag would've made the difference for them. The Dubs, Kerry and indeed Monaghan don't need an invitation and can smell a goal when they attack. I might take the outsider bet on Monaghan for this one.

My thoughts as well. Tyrone rarely score goals. Even in the Donegal game I thought it was time to show a ruthless streak and blow them away but they don't seem to have it. Wheres kerry keep going and pushing on for scores regardless of how much they are winning by.

Will be a tight game.

Frees are going to be massive. Monaghan, with Beggan and McManus, will try to buy as many as possible. McManus is a genius at this.

Croke park the venue which is nice, more crowds and atmosphere.
