Yes maybe home advantage might just swing it for Kerry but it will be an interesting game as we getting very close to championship. CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 3678 - 08/06/2021 20:53:41 2349085 Link 0 |
Come on Tyrone. It can be done. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2520 - 08/06/2021 22:18:40 2349115 Link 2 |
This will truly be an amazing and interesting match. Rooting for Tyrone all the way. I am a huge fan of the team and I do hope they win because Kerry is also great team. KaitlynnDuff (Longford) - Posts: 17 - 10/06/2021 02:28:09 2349312 Link 0 |
Awful performance from Tyrone. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 12/06/2021 18:39:49 2349882 Link 0 |
Yes - fully expected to get beat and wouldn't have been too bothered by that. We were beat in Tralee in 08 remember. But the big concern here is not the loss but the incompetent manner of how it was lost. Our defence is nonexistent. The lack of organisation and leadership in the defence is startling. Fermanagh a couple of years ago had a defence much tighter than that. The fences are broken and the cows are breaking out : ) This is not just a bad result. This was a bad result which came from a fundamental lack of understanding in the defence, and it's a major problem which will not be remedied this year. Kerry looked to have done more work on their defence, and with a bit of luck maybe they can beat Dublin. It sure won't be us. essmac (Tyrone) - Posts: 1141 - 12/06/2021 19:20:45 2349902 Link 1 |
Tyrone were very poor today but its better to find the faults now before championship begins. Kerry s defense looked brutal a few weeks ago a d they improving. Same with Galway. I really believe Tyrone will be a different team when the championship begins.

Opinions on what was right for Tyrone will come further down the line. However on the day Louth got promoted and Tyrone conceded 6 goals in senior inter county football it's fair to question was Harte given enough credit! sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 12/06/2021 19:57:52 2349924 Link 1 |
I would nt lose hope Fridge. Better for the weaknesses to be found now rather than the championship. One little thing could change things alot. I genuinely think Tyrone can win Ulster. There was no intensity today either. P. S. Wishing Darragh Canavan a speedy recovery. Hope the injury not serious.

This result is no real surprise. The last 3 matches were not good to watch. Kerry were on top of their game. Tyrone were heading the other way. Today just proved that. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 894 - 12/06/2021 20:24:55 2349937 Link 2 |
Can't argue with that. I know some will say better now or this, but honestly that was horrendous performance, and it's very hard to see how Tyrone can recover in next few weeks. It will be very very hard to come back from such a horrific performance. Kerry are good make no mistake about it. But Tyrone made them look unreal royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 12/06/2021 20:30:06 2349940 Link 1 |
I agree.....we stayed up by the skin off our teeth but we did stay up. Today was a wake up call. Our defence was all over the place. No one seemed to know the game plan. No one was covering, people marking space and not men. Badly miss Colly Cavanagh. Midfield is very weak. Mattie Donnelly/Burns isn't a midfield who will get you to an all Ireland. They are half forwards. Brady hit a few terrible wife's from bad positions. Hamsey kicked 4 balls in to McKenna that were poor, floated balls that favour defenders. McKenna hasn't played well this season. Donaghy found out a bit over the last 3 games....taken off at half time in 3 games isn't good. Colly Kavanagh is the man that would be perfect to slot in. I recall a few months ago reading he was sorry he retired and he would go back if Logan asked him. He is what Tyrone need at the moment. If McShane comes back also things will change.

Sending the best to young Dara, was disappointed to hear he could have picked up what could be a bad injury. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4445 - 12/06/2021 21:36:39 2349980 Link 2 |
If the Cavan / Donegal result last year was a fluke, so too was the Kerry / Cork result. supersub15 (Carlow) - Posts: 2908 - 12/06/2021 21:58:17 2349994 Link 2 |
Whilst Tyrone were bad today, it's gotta be said Kerry look very very good. A lot of big strong athletes who are also very skillful. David Clifford obviously but also O'Shea, Spillane, Geaney, Paudie Clifford, Walsh, and also with David Moran to come back. tyroneed (Tyrone) - Posts: 753 - 12/06/2021 22:03:34 2349996 Link 0 |
I'd agree with this. They have definitely narrowed the gap. But they will not beat dubs this year. But they have given me hope that Dublin will not get 10 in a row.

Kerry looked good but then Tyrone were poor enough and were never really at the races. Morgan is a middling goalkeeper that's all. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 13/06/2021 09:14:56 2350079 Link 2 |
