Predictions:

Preliminary Round:

Down vs Donegal (Donegal by 4 points)

Quarter Finals:

Donegal vs Derry (Donegal by 3 points)
Tyrone vs Cavan (Tyrone by 2 points)
Monaghan vs Fermanagh (Monaghan by 6 points)
Armagh vs Antrim (Armagh by 7 points)

Semi Finals:

Donegal vs Tyrone (Donegal by 2 points)
Armagh vs Monaghan (Monaghan by 2 points)

Final:

Monaghan vs Donegal (Donegal by 2 points)"
That's a tough draw for Donegal- if they do get through it they will have so many players injured they'll have no one left to play Kerry

I'd fancy Armagh based on the Draw

I've heard a few people tipping Armagh but I don't really understand it. They have improved a lot and deserved to retain their Division 1 status. But I'd reserve judgement on them until I see how they'd cope with a Championship Monaghan team, assuming of course that both win their respective quarter finals. In their last big Championship match Donegal swatted them away like flies.

The simple facts are that either Armagh or Monaghan will be in an Ulster final v whoever comes from the other side. It's too hard to call.

Bonner under pressure I assume? On paper Donegal have a very strong panel, looks like it has more depth to it then Kerry.

I have a feeling that whatever happens this year Bonner will step away. I hope for his sake that he can land another Ulster title and get a good crack at Kerry. Declan has invested a lot into Donegal football both as a player & a manager. It would be nice if he could cap things off with some more silverware. Nothing is guaranteed in Ulster though. I would agree we have a strong panel but there are a lot of question marks defensively, and also in terms of mentality when the pressure is cranked up.

Yea it'll probably be his last year. A great Donegal man who done it all as a player and achieved a lot as a manager. I would be hoping the same ,to bow out with an ulster title and a real shot at Kerry . Just hoping that we can get an injury free run and hopefully build momentum along the way. This is probably rochford s last year too. Plus Mc grath. Mc gee, and probably Mc niallas be great to bow out with at least an ulster title.

I agree. These hype movements don't take long in spreading. The same goes for Mayo and even Kerry. People are coming out with rankings and are putting Kerry at number 1. Can't understand it. How can they be ranked ahead of a team that hasn't lost since 2014. Mind boggling.

Kerry are in danger of buying into the massive bluff that Tyrone have sold them. Dublin will be delighted.

Not a huge fan of Armagh at the moment but I don't really see any hype around them.

They are a decent team and if they overcome Antrim they are certainly capable of beating Monaghan and into a final.

There is no bluff. Kerry are an awesome outfit. Best attack I've seen in a long time. There is no way Tyrone will beat them. this year.

I fail to see how what minute a penalty is scored matters. Over the course of the game Armagh were the better team and deserved to win. Yes we failed to beat Tyrone after picking up 5 defensive injuries in the first half, the same Tyrone team Monaghan failed to beat. The we managed to get a result against Donegal with a makeshift defense before comfortably beating Roscommon.

Not saying we are a threat to Dublin or Kerry but we could beat any other county in Ireland on our day.

Monaghan remind me of Armagh in 2006, on the way down and hoping for a last hurrah.

Is it 2008 since Armagh won an Ulster? That's a long time considering the club success that ye had. Perhaps the peace process hasn't helped as the GAA was probably such a unifying force for those communities. I fancy ye this year - surely mcgeaney should soon get some result of note

I wouldn't call it hype when they have delivered on the field. What wins games is going forward at bit more and they have started to fine tune it. Teams worry to much about defending even when they are getting beat , that's the time to push forward more cause if you don't your beat anyway. Dark horses.

So the tyrone management deliberately let their players be publicly humiliated by their rivals?
If this was all some elaborate ruse to play yourself down well Id bet that the new management have lost the respect of at least some of the players.

Bluff or not, I can't imagine that the reaction that horror show generated will have anything other than a negative effect on team morale.

Its going to be a really interesting Ulster championship and hard to pick a winner. Tyrone, Donegal and Monaghan will be in the mix and Armagh look good. I wouldn't write Cavan off either, they just seem to be a different animal in the championship.

Unfortunately I can't see the Ulster winners making a serious challenge for the All Ireland. Donegal and Tyrone can put up big scores but are extremely porous at the back. Surely whoever dethroned the Dubs will have to be rock solid at the back
