I absolutely ridiculed Mayo in many of my posts, mostly in jest, nevertheless apologies for the childishness. i genuinely think yee will do it on Saturday with more than a few to spare. Mayo fans and their players have been through a lot and ye absolutely deserve to see SAM draped in green and red! Good luck on Saturday! 70 year wait is coming to an end!

On the starting line-up anyone see any surprises coming?

Eoin Mc - can he start? From what I hear he as recovered but seems hard to believe having seen him carried off that night. Drop him to the bench with Mullen coming instead

What about Harrison? Came on against Dublin but starting AI final with so little game time is a big ask. I would love to see him in there if it would release Leroy to do more damage up the field

All the talk on the main form is about AOS and if he will start. I think its a certainty he starts.

I am more nervous about this game than any in a long time.... I think I owe my employer money I have done so little this past week

AOS will definitely start and would bet on him having a big game. Regarding Oisin, Eoghan and Harry. If all 3 are declared fit then one or two to start as it's risky bringing on too many players that could possibly break down and need replacing. Genuinely think we have enough to get the job done.

I think there will be 2 changes to the team. Oisín Mullin to replace Eoghan McLaughlin in defence. Bryan Walsh, Jordan Flynn or potentially Enda Hession to replace Mchale in the forwards.

When was the last time Mayo didn't make changes to the announced 15? Maybe it'll happen tomorrow, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Kevin Mc held back and replaced by younger legs at least for the starting 20 mins which are going to be helter-skelter. Not sure Oisin Mullin will be up to speed for a start either considering the long lay-off or if Eoghan Mc might be a bit of a risk with big hits guaranteed. I don't think Bryan Walsh has the physicality for this yet either. Maybe Darren Coen or James Carr for Kevin and Jordan Flynn for Bryan?

I was hoping Brendan Harrison would be in the FB line, but assuming his fitness has progressed he'll be a good man to bring in if needed.

Heading to Dublin early today and want to wish Mayo players, management and backroom staff the very best of luck today. A special mention to Conor Finn who has done an exceptional job in getting the lads to such great condition in these covid affected times. Finally to all fellow fans on route to the capital be safe and roar your heads off!

Mayo lacked belief and confidence throughout and Tyrone could sense this from early on. In this context Tyrone weren't going to lose the psychological battle. The same demons came back to haunt Mayo which is a shame because you have some very good footballers.

Very disappointing day, far worse than last year or probably any since 2013. Apart from the first 5 minutes Tyrone set the terms of the game and the chances missed meant that Mayo could never wrest the initiative back. I thought before the game that Kevin Mc should be held back until the second half when his footballing abilities could be used to best advantage and I honestly thought Bryan Walsh was on the team sheet to be replaced before throw-in. The game by-passed him and yet he was only subbed late. The missed chances speak for themselves and some of them were obviously rehearsed training ground opportunities. Nothing went right for Conor Loftus ... got into good positions but the scores didn't come. I think Aidan's future as a starter will be looked at seriously now. He didn't play all that badly apart from a couple of poor executions, but he just doesn't cover enough ground in a team which is built around that approach. At times it seemed a bit of a throw-back to Mayo's encounters with Kevin Walsh's Galway and Mayo haven't got the game to use the Dublin approach to unlock defensive teams. There's a good chance we'll lose Oisin Mullin to AFL... like a repeat of the Pearce Hanley gap in JH's first team.

Apologies for the gloom. There is a lot of youth and a good number of players to come back when fit (Cillian, Harrison, Doherty, Moran, McLaughlin), but there's a mental block there in relation to AI finals which will have to be confronted or by-passed somehow. I feel sorry for the players... this one will be more painful than some of the others. Maybe the pressure of expectation this time was a factor... still supporters will be supporters, so what do you do?

Tyrone by far best team on the day, a lot of mayo players were well below their best and the Management didnt make the right changes at the right time. Thought that they had it won when they beat the Dubs.

Hard luck lads. I just don't know how ye manage to get this far nearly every year without ever getting over the line. Heartbreaking stuff for ye.

It was like the Donegal v Kerry 2014 All Ireland final all over again. Donegal put in a phenomenal performance against Dublin in the semi final that year but just couldn't do the same against Kerry in the final. Mentally they thought that they would take Kerry but it didn't happen. Mayo were brilliant against Dublin and psychologically they probably thought Tyrone was a formality. When Tyrone came at them mentally, physically and skill wise Mayo just didn't have the answers.

I'm very proud of each and everyone of that mayo team, backroom staff aswell. Cant believe it and I can only imagine how the players are feeling now. Every other county would love to be in the same position that we were in today. We will be back in a final and when we do our shot selection and score to shot ratio has to be very high. That was not like us in front of goals yesterday. I would love to see a bench with Colm Moran, Mark Moran, Ciaran Treacy, Fionn Mc Donagh, Paul Towey, Jack Coyne, Aaron Mc Donnell, David Mc Brien but James Horan knows best, he sees them training.

I watched the game 3 times since I came back from croker. We moved the ball too slow giving them a chance to get back in position, at times we brought it in to the tackle too much. No composure in front of goals. I would have loved Aidan o Shea to climb the steps in croker to lift Sam Maguire. A player who deserves it.

Keep the faith. There is a serious bunch of players there. Our day will come. Sure we wouldn't have been able to celebrate in Mc Hale Park anyway. We have a young team. Game of fine margins.

Well said from a leitrim supporter.

How most other counties would wish to have a talented team like this. Your future is far from bleak.

I only wish my own beloved county could achieve much more modest goals. We too have a talented bunch of players craving for even modest success.
