Our management team needs to step down after that result. Div 4 is not acceptable .

Not much competing done today…. That result is an embarrassment to Cavan football… Were we ever in Division 4 before….?

Embarrassing

I'm seething here. But some perspective please, it's the league and he won an Ulster 7 months ago. Let's see what happens against Tyrone. But jeez we look so far off the pace. Should be winning these games blindfolded

I've defended Mickey through thick and thin on here for what has been, in my opinion, unfair criticism. However today there can be no defending him or his players. An absolute disgrace to the sacred blue jersey what just took place and bar a very unlikely result against Tyrone his goose might now be cooked. There are simply no words to describe that appalling display today.

Can anyone tell the real story of what went on today - have we to accept that Cavan are really that hopeless?

This is a real slap in the face to everyone involved with Cavan football. I never taught I would see this day even when Tommy Carr was there we managed to avoid the basement division.
That was a gutless and pathetic performance. We were so clueless both on the field and the on the line. We have gone so far back it is beyond belief.
I don't know where Cavan football goes from here. If anyone thinks we are going to beat Tyrone you are simply deluded, good teams don't play division 4 and they certainly don't suffer 3 relegations in a row.

A truly incredible result in Navan. Its a funny old game, especially when you consider Cavan's run in the championship last year. Sometimes things happen in football that just make no sense.

Keep the heads up neighbours, the Breiffne will rise again. Consolation on a bad day but that team is genuinely streets ahead of that result and with the right work Cavan will be back where they should be before long.

Because its fair criticism now. Complaining constantly like you is not fair.

Yes they are… this team were built up after last year's Championship ( a wonderful achievement ) but anyone with an ounce of football knowledge could see that they weren't up to much… They have too many weaknesses all over the pitch… Since been awarded an All Star (shock to me) Faulkner has been a shadow of himself… Got a roasting v Derry and made some shocking decisions today but he is not alone in playing away below what is needed at County level.. From the 1st minute we were playing the ball backwards and moving at a snails pace… and remember this was against one of the worst teams in the country ( we are now in that bracket) which is just not acceptable… When Wicklow got the ball they generally got it to their forwards as quickly as possible… We could have got out of jail with the goal chance Brady got late on but lack of a football brain ment he wouldn't pass the ball to 2 free players in his left for a tap in goal ( Dublin score at least 2 of them every game ) ….. Intelligence and cuteness ( we lack both ) plays a big part in modern day football…

Tyrone are getting a roosting in Kerry. The Ulster clash in 4 weeks time could be between sides who lost demoralisingly their respective league semi finals.

The way we are looking at the moment I wouldn't even bet on us winning division 4 next year.
Teams like Leitrim wont fear playing us that's for sure. Today was very similar to the Fermanagh game, Wicklow grew in confidence and belief as the game went on, they realized we are actually a very poor outfit.

If D4 is regionalised asmit was this year, D4 North could be Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Sligo. Fairly competitive to say the least
