We got a win in the end, not a very inspiring performance. Once again letting the opponents have there own kick outs it's actually baffling It's a stupid tactic against weaker opponents it keeps them in the game all they need to do is play for a free and get a score , Big ask next weekend but maybe it's a challenge this team needs

Replying To goonie:  "That was a terrible display, Why have we gone back letting teams have there own kick outs, it caused our relegation last year. That tactic doesn't work for us we concede to many frees in scoring positions, Argue should have been started in mid field with James smith, We looked clueless going forward. It's very disappointing I was hoping to get out of the daldrums of div 3 this year, if we aren't careful we could slip to div 4"
It's score difference if three teams are on the same points. Derry are already way out in front on that count and I'd expect Fermanagh to absolutely wallop an atrocious Longford team.
I don't think it'll come down to score difference though. Can't see us beating a Derry team that are flying.
I'm not sure why we're persisting with 18 to 20 year olds that barely have any senior club experience. I'd prefer to get minutes in the legs of Chris Conroy or Niall Murray, experienced players that might actually make a difference against Tyrone.
And what of the likes of Simon Cadden - 3 years now going into the panel with only a McKenna Cup appearance to show for it. Left warming the bench yesterday.

The criteria for separating teams that finish level on points remains the same as before - with two teams, the result of their head-to-head game dictates the finishing position and if that game was a draw, score difference comes into play, then total points scored. If the teams are dead level on scoring, a play-off takes place.

However, should more than two teams end up on identical points total, head-to-head doesn't apply and score difference dictates their ranking.

If we beat Derry it looks like the top 3 will end up on 4pts each meaning score difference.. meaning that hammering Derry handed out to Fermanagh might favour us... loose to Derry and we need Longford to turn Fermanagh over leading to the bottom 3 ending up on 2pts each....

Any word from Holla and James injuries. Absolutely gutted yesterday. Hope they aren't serious injuries. Huge set back if they are out.

Good win Saturday, some nice scores taken albeit against a poor defence. Hopefully the injuries are not too serious. Brady has been key for Cavan over the last year. The Derry game is on TG4. As far as I can see Derry are all but through to the playoff already so have not much to play for other than top of the group and might rotate some of their men.

is that what we are hoping for ?.
We are Ulster Champions.
We should be confident of beating Derry regardless of what team they put out.

Unfortunately word is that Holla did the dreaded cruciate (although not confirmed), so that'll be his season done if it is the case. James Smith got a concussion, so that'll be this weekend out for him, with maybe him back for later games.

Yeah kinda agree, but both teams coming from different places and with eyes on different prizes too (Derry are way ahead on training and matches, and might be peaking a little early). All going well you'd be correct, but Mickey seems to use the league as a means to Championship. Saying that I would love to have a strong team out to win this, keep going for promotion, and use it as an upward trajectory for Tyrone next month.

Derry will be a good test and with Brady ,Galligan, maybe James Smith possibly out, it will be need a big performance.
Derry with the players have ,have underperformed for a few years. Conor Glass back from Australia and playing really well at midfield with Emmet Bradley. Shane McGuigan is excellent at full forward. Faulkner possibly will pick him up

I don't see Gallagher rotating the team, they will probably want to stay on a winning run in a short season.

Derry will have a full team out as Gallagher will know a win will more than likely get his home county Fermanagh through to the semifinals at the expense of one of his other counties...

surely the best team in ulster wont have any problem overturning the 6th/7th best, no matter what team they put out.

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow, it will be a big ask to win with so many unavailable, but we know whoever starts will do us proud.
