Replying To Irishcelt:  "The things these division one/Top intercounty football teams do to gain a slight advantage is actually sticking I know for a fact the our county boys are not training in numbers just individual training John maughen said he hasn't even met some of the new lads he called into the offaly panel as they are not training collectively. No wonder the gap is winding between the few top teams and the rest"
There was always a huge gap between the the few top teams and the rest , cant see this ever changing .

Replying To TheJackel:  "What point you trying to make?

Sligo happened in November and championship was in progress. No one, even in December, knew the extent of the new wave and the new strain. Was December when this was known and even then it was very early days. There was decisions made to curtail activity - club championships, county minors and U20s - but senior was allowed to continue with strict protocols in place.

We know a lot more now and that's what recent decisions are based on plus the vaccine programme is rolling out.

Hindsight a wonderful thing and makes all decisions a lot easier months down the line.

France, Germany, italy, Eastern Europe all in a lot worse spot than us."
Plenty of countries have been worse off throughout this whole pandemic but yet these professional spoofers and excuse makers in charge of running the country only just managed to introduce quarantine measures for those arriving into the country. Blasted idiotic carry on and they giving themselves pay rises whenever it suits.
The clowns up North can't even talk to each other and if it's not one of them blatantly flouting the rules it's the other hateful shower inciting violence and mayhem.
Is it any wonder people are sick to the back teeth of all the baloney they've been fed over the last number of months.

As you posted "there was no British variant in the country at that time ".
Stop your lick arsing. You were referring to the very same thing only shortly beforehand.

Would you prefer B.1.1.7 then ? I'm sure everyone would know what that was.

This whole whillabou about a few lads kicking a ball around in a field with Government ministers breaking their necks to get on tv to condem it is all a load of nonsense... It's all away of deflecting peoples minds away from the real problems which this gomeless Government are not fit to deal with... There is no evidence to suggest that kicking a football around in an outside environment has led to many if any cases of the virus.... Would it not suit the Government better to stop people entering the Country from virus riddled countries like Brazil or France than coming out condemning the GAA for something as trivial as this.... These clowns in power would rather blame their own people and deflect any blame away from their own utter incompetence.....

There is very few clubs teams doing nothing, never mind the intercounty teams.

You might be right but I don't think so. I do think alot of counties are not breaking the rules and to my knowledge Kerry have not been training.

i dont really care about the covid craic at this stage. But on the GAA pitch with no insurance should be a long suspension. Juveniles and junior b lads get hassled for money " or your not insured boy" yet county seniors can belt away

Suspending the managers is not much of a punishment.Suspend the players for a month from when competition recommences.

Good point. The players association should be coming out and telling them not to train collectively as they won't be covered.
