Another thing I was wondering about is whether or not county board income is treated as GAA income for the purposes of the overall GAA accounts or whether each county board is treated as a separate entity. Dessie Farrell could miss the whole league- he will be such a loss to the thing- wonderful character. How we will miss his incredible passion and his tell all interviews after games. He is in the mold of Shankly or Clough with his ability to teach us all the intricate details of our glorious game of Gaelic Football. I thought Galway would have done a lot better last year, then again I thought we would have done a lot better too. very hard to say in truth yet, in Ulster a lot depends on the draw, I'd love if we could get a crack at Kerry in the semi final but I think Tyrone will be very strong this year,new management team and if they have a full panel they will take some stopping, we are capable of course but after last years slip up it's knocked the confidence a bit. if we have Odhran mac Niallas back it will be a big help too. the sooner football is back the better, can't wait. GAA accounting is a bit of a swamp. Some newspaper estimated it is 500k+ for top Senior Inter-county football teams, outside of the top god knows. Each County board has its own separate income as indeed do clubs. Clubs collect memberships, percentages go to CBs and also to GAA HQ. Clubs are not-for-profit tax entities.
