Lads I didn't mean to turn this thread into a 'whos better' thread. I also don't think it's fair on the players as they are under enough pressure without having to read what people are expecting of them. Every player invovled deserves 100% respect for their achievement this year. I realise that I am probably the chielf instigator here but I honestly didn't mean to get anyone's back up. If I did I apologise. I was only making the point that I remember watching McManus when he played for Meath and he was a class act and so far this year he has made a huge difference to the Blues. So lets have enough of the who's better nonsense, congratulate the players for their achievements and hope we get an excellent final where the best team wins. I reckon if David Brennan hears of all this talk he'll be raring to go on Mcmanus. We'll see then who is MORE EXPERIENCED!!! osama (Louth) - Posts: 149 - 26/09/2008 14:53:19 108808 Link 0 |

Did Mattock win it in 2003 and 2006 just like Tyrone, I feel an upset coming on tomorrow with the experience Mattock edging it.... tdavfc (Louth) - Posts: 8 - 27/09/2008 22:55:08 109459 Link 0 |
Mattock winners in 02 & 05. Would it be an upset if Mattock were to win though? They have won it twice since Blues last won it and have the majority of the team of 05 .Its evenly poised, very much like the All Ireland last week with two of the best teams of the decade come head to head. Hopefully the football is of a good standard and the final will be entertaining to give us back some pride in Louth football. sam57 (Louth) - Posts: 1502 - 28/09/2008 08:56:18 109506 Link 0 |

Don't agree with you at all, the best team WON and it should have been by a bigger margin. The object of the game is to put the ball over or under the bar and the Blues were better at it than Collon. Like I said earlier the Blues had that extra bit of class in McGinn, McManus and Judge. RobK (Meath) - Posts: 479 - 29/09/2008 11:33:49 109959 Link 0 |
