Well lads I know a lot depends on the final but often too much depends on the final when it comes to All Stars so let's pick the team as we'd have it now Onfor15 (Wexford) - Posts: 524 - 29/11/2020 21:52:28 2316687 Link 0 |

Aussie Gleeson has performed for 30 minutes this year. Savage performance in the second half yesterday but lets see how the final goes. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 29/11/2020 23:25:15 2316718 Link 0 |

Those running Waterford forwards might keep Quaid employed.!

Typically one one or two from outside the semi finalists will get on, Tony Kelly the only real contender. Final will be a direct shootout for positions between Gillane and Austin Gleeson, Byrnes / Hayes / Callum Lyons. McFan88 (Limerick) - Posts: 447 - 30/11/2020 10:28:06 2316792 Link 0 |
Conor Whelan is way more effective and more consistent than Harnedy, in my opinion.

Callum Lyons already has his All-Star secured, I think. Unless something strange happens in the final the half back line should read Lyons, de Burca and Kyle Hayes.

Disagree with this. Diarmuid Byrnes has been outstanding and scored well in every game Limerick have played, will be an all star barring a bad final. Kyle Hayes - poor v Clare, did ok v Tipp, played well v Waterford and was outstanding v Galway. Lyons scored an excellent goal and did well v Cork, was average v Limerick the Munster final, excellent v Clare and was a mixed bag v Kilkenny - outstanding in the second half, very loose in the first half. 3 players vying for wing back, all comes down to the final I reckon

I agree I would give to Byrnes, at the moment, before Kyle. When we were struggling he drove two mighty points and made a few defiant catches which gave the team a lift when it was most needed. To add to this he hit a real pressure point from the long range free near the end when the ship needed studying.

Yes I would agree with agree with you. Whelan was immense in every game Galway played.

All star teams never make much sense with players picked in positions they hadn't played. If was to be named now I reckon it be something like this. ciaran1988 (Antrim) - Posts: 86 - 30/11/2020 16:38:40 2317035 Link 0 |

I would tend to agree with about Dan Morrisey ahead of McNulty, even though McNulty has been outstanding throughout. With the all stars there is always a degree of creative rearranging so I suspect Daithi Burke and Dan Morrisey may both end up in the full back line despite both playing the same position. I do think Jamie Barron has done enough to get in there ahead of Tom Morrisey indirectly. Thought Morrisey was quiet enough in the Munster campaign. Honourable mention to Conor Delaney who has turned into a real man-marking specialist for Kilkenny

From general play Canning had a quiet year by his standards I felt

I think that's being kind. Almost anonymous would be my description. 3 points from play in 4 games is a poor return. Onfor15 (Wexford) - Posts: 524 - 30/11/2020 19:24:16 2317112 Link 0 |
Joe was exceptional from dead-balls and sidelines and was very good from general play against Kilkenny and decent against Tipp, but not very influential overall. He's playing a deeper role in general now. Not All-Star form. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2043 - 30/11/2020 19:50:38 2317124 Link 0 |
