Offaly can't fulfil their fixture as their entire panel are deemed close contacts because they trained with a confirmed positive case. Up until Wednesday the rest of the panel would have been seen as casual contacts with limited contact in an outdoor setting.
However in our schools- these same rules don't apply by the HSC - a teacher can have a positive case in the classroom but isn't deemed a close contact. but if that teacher was a coach and the pupils- players they are deemed close contacts

Full sympathy with Offaly" Restrictions are full of contradictions, inconsistencies. Feel for Offaly, but for sure we will see more of this.
