How come the Leinster b team v some Welsh b team was on rte instead of the mayo v Kerry game ? Crazy stuff from rte it is completely focused on rugby now Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 01/03/2025 17:56:09 2593936Link 0

Ya Wales are rubbish no one wants to watch some seconds game from there. Rte screwing the public with cheap games to fill slots no one is watching instead of paying for games people want Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 01/03/2025 21:12:43 2594008Link 0

Do rte have rights to show all these game sin gaa? They show 1 game a week and tg4 are showing 4 or 5 games. Leinster game was on tv because of the rights deal that the irfu sign up to. It doesnt mean rte is rugby focused. If it was so rugby focused then how come theyve lost so much of their coverage over the years KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3847 - 01/03/2025 21:38:05 2594022Link 1
It wasn't Wales who were playing Leinster! It was Cardiff! Again, it's the Capital, Cardiff arent the Welsh national team!! Onion_Sack (Dublin) - Posts: 397 - 01/03/2025 21:47:05 2594026Link 1
Its a joke, no game on again today. RTE are gone full rugby. Its no wonder LOI had to look elsewhere, hopefully GAATV will show games and we can get away from RTE completely. combo (Galway) - Posts: 23 - 02/03/2025 20:49:55 2594263Link 0

Anyone know how much the GAA made out of the Connacht disaster in mayo yesterday? Big crowd but can't imagine too many were inspired. I never heard the mayo crowd so quiet. Kew (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 30/03/2025 14:03:59 2599447Link 0

Are you joking me. RTÉ is Dublin 4. Dublin four is rugby heartland. Aviva, Pembroke, Bective, Wanderers, St Marys, Terenure, St Michaels. Place is full of rugby clubs. Not easy for GAA to get a look in there. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2681 - 30/03/2025 18:40:40 2599516Link 1
Open to interpretation with Kew. It could be he'd see 27,500 people at a rugby match as a disaster from a GAA perspective. Or if there were only 5,000 at it it'd be a disaster from a rugby one. Either way it's all a disaster. ThePowerhouse (Leitrim) - Posts: 258 - 30/03/2025 19:14:06 2599528Link 0

| RTE is Dublin 4 all right. Am guessing that you (like me) are old enough to remember when you actually had to send a letter or postcard to things like competitions on The Late Late Show, and the address given was always 'RTE, Donnybrook, Dublin 4'. And have just checked the RTE website, and yes indeed, under 'Contact Us', the postal address is still given as just 'RTE, Donnybrook, Dublin 4'.
