Can't believe there are so many critics of Brian Carty's commentaries here. He is way ahead of Marty Morrissey in terms of GAA knowledge. Marty regularly displays his ignorance of the rules and frequently names players incorrectly. But his most annoying habit is the way he over-reacts to scores from the top players, for example "that's an unbelievable score from Patrick Horgaaaaaan". Brian wasn't that good but from RTÉ you wouldn't expect too much. He kept repeating the score translating goals and points into points repeatedly, and telling us over and over a again how much time was left.......one never knew who had the ball, where in the field they were or what they were doing with the ball.
