9. David Burke

Noel McGrath had a very good year in midfield this year but overall Fennelly and Burke would be my type of midfielder, strong in the air, run all day and score too.

If Noel McGrath isn't picked at midfield he should a spot in the half forward his vision, consistency (got a few MOTM down the years) and afaik he has scored in all bar 1 of his championship matches.

8. Michael Fennelly a certainty
9. Other position depends on whether Brendan Maher is picked at wing back or not. I've picked Maher at wing back so I'm going to go with Kevin Moran here, but if Maher doesn't make it at wing back then I'd have him here ahead of moran

Yeah, I think Michael Fennelly has been the top midfielder of the decade. There are numerous contenders for his partner and I wouldn't argue against Tony Kelly. He set very high standards for himself as a teenager and while he may not have always lived up to his 2013 levels he has played several outstanding games for both club and county. Like a lot of the top players he tends to attract a lot of unfair and harsh criticism whenever he under-performs.

Agreed, Kelly marginally ahead of Burke and Moran for me.

Would Kelly not have had his best days at Centre forward rather than midfield?

True, he mostly has number 11 on his back but even then he floats all over the place and operates like a midfielder, which I believe is his best position.
