Just like to point out this site to the Tyrone...

I find it amusing that Tyrone are our deserving All-Ireland champions after a thrilling AI final yet you cant bring yourself to say one good thing about them.Yet you can put the time and effort into petty smart alec posts about diving equipment.

I was at the match on Sunday and to be honest I didn't see any diving - it could well have happened up the other end of the field but the only incident I saw was the Cavanagh one at half-time on the SG. He got up straight away to confront O'Se. Which did you prefer in your illustrious playing career? Elbowing a prone player while he has his back turned, or diving?

No ones denying diving happens, but you are suggesting its a northern thing. I've seen plenty of diving in my time: Cavanagh, Bellew, O'Mahoney, Clancy - you'll even see it on GAA gold on tg4, why turn it into a provincial issue and why do you now think Limerick and Dublin are in Ulster?

When I say Kerry were afraid of Tyrone I meant in a football sense.

If you are talking about macho men, well here is something to consider.

ALL violence is caused by COWARDICE, fear of being hurt/made to look stupid/or simply not being able to express yourself in any other way. So cowards are potentially the most violent people, and therefore the "hardest" men. As a devout coward myself I can assure you that if I feel threatened I will "Judas" you from behind with a hurling stick over the head. That means I have just "won" the fight. Nothing brave, manly or macho about that.

Nothing brave about hitting people, especially at inter county level, when you know people don't want to really retaliate for fear of being sent off. Again, nothing manly, brave or macho about that.

And yes, I was disgusted by Tyrone in 2003, but they have improved since then. Their niggling still annoys me, but Tyrone are only interested in winning, rather than entertaining. Takes all sorts.

Dive of the year. Only one contender, O'Leary of Cork (I think it was him) when Marc O'Se was sent of in the Munster final. I think that is were O'Mahoney got the idea from.

Nick Wexford:
The answer to your question is NO.
Probably the reason you had more days in Croker is that ye are in Leinster. Had ye many days in Clones?
With regard to reasons for the "arrogance" of the Tyrone posters, I think the solution could be found in a response to the query - What have ye won this year of major consequence? Nothing comes close to either of the big two.
Get over it Nick and move on - it is beginning to smack of begrudgery.

Nick. Come on !! Seriously you are being very harsh on Tyrone. They played a great game of football, scored some excellent points and overall were thoroughly deserving of their victory. I was delighted they won. Ye Mulligan's dive was dramatic but the ref made the right call in telling him to get up. It seems the Nordies can't win. When they aren't being accused of playing "puke football" then they are being accused of "diving" in order to win.....It's no wonder they are paranoid and defensive about Ulster football when some of us can't acknowledge a fine victory.

You are way too serious Breffni, i thought the original post was just a bit of a laugh. Funny a man from Cavan would take a post about Tyrone so personal.

Wise_Guy. If you have a problem with the content of Nick's posts and what he is accusing Tyrone of, then have a go at his opinions and not Wexford please. Your argument would be better served by highlighting the great tactics used and excellent points Tyrone scored to win the match rather than asking how Wexford did this year. If you want to turn it into a county thing go ahead but you won't get anywhere......It's Nick's opinions you want to examine and reply to and not his county of origin.

Well Nick you talk some ***** boy. Ulster teams and especialy this Tyrone team are renowned for their high intensity and physical game. Diving! Kerry were lucky to go in at the break with 15 men still on the pitch never mind finish 70 minutes. A hard hitting, physical game is promoted throughout the country and rightly so. But you have to observe the rules of the game at the same time, something which Kerry certainly didn't! Between big Packie's save from Walsh and Dooher's fantastic solo point, Ricey and Gormley surrounded and tackled Gooch with the kind of intensity that Kerry dream of. As Dooher split the posts you could imagine Ricey turning to Gooch, giving a wink and saying "go an have a wee seat in that corner sir".

Nick come on now. "the lesser of the codes"! What does that mean? If you think that then your not a true Gael in my eyes. Both hurling and football are great national sports we should be proud of, they're not in competion with eachother you numpty. True, we can play no hurling in the north but yeese can play neither football nor hurling in Wexford sir.

Galbhaile-Ger, is there a RAN missing in the middle. Because I suspect you may be a soccer fan, who has recently stumbled upon the GAA.

I am sure Tyrone treat Gooch with disrespect, and do not rate him. Well you at any rate. I think Harte, and especially Ricey and Gormley would disagree with you.

I pointed out elsewhere that Tyrone won 3 Ulster hurling titles in the 1990s. All over this site you have insulted those players by stating that Tyrone do not play hurling. So the efforts of those players in a Tyrone jersey is to be sneered at, laughed at, or even worse in your case, not even known about?

As for Wexford, yes, all time under achievers. OK they may have won 5 all Ireland football titles, including a 4 in a row, but who did they beat, apart from Kerry, two years running?

They have also won 6 hurling titles. (That's that game with sticks) In short a miserable 11 All Ireland titles, unlike the mighty Tyrone.

I was going to ask if you were Hokey in disguise, but sometimes I think he is just winding up. You obviously are not, you just have an extremely limited knowledge of Gaelic games.
