I never thought I'd see anyone post "Ballybofey is like New York."

Was a quiet morning in the office so looked at the Ulster Championship over the last 10 years and the breakdown of home/away games are as follows:

Antrim = 3 Home, 7 Away (1 of the 3 Home draws played in Armagh)
Armagh = 3 Home, 7 Away
Cavan = 9 Home, 2 Away
Derry = 8 Home, 2 Away
Down = 5 Home, 6 Away
Donegal = 7 Home, 7 Away
Fermanagh = 5 Home, 6 Away
Monaghan = 4 Home, 7 Away
Tyrone = 7 Home, 6 Away

The teams with more than a total of 10 are those who played and won Preliminary round matches over the 10 years.

This is a better representation of what I said. Fair play.

When you put it like that, I can see your point.

Why are there 51 home games and only 50 away games ?

There was a replay in the Preliminaries one year

Should still be the same number of home teams as away teams.

Following a stewards enquiry I rechecked and couple of changes....

Antrim = 3 Home, 7 Away (1 of the 3 Home draws played in Armagh)
Armagh = 3 Home, 7 Away
Cavan = 7 Home, 4 Away
Derry = 8 Home, 2 Away
Down = 4 Home, 7 Away
Donegal = 9 Home, 5 Away
Fermanagh = 7 Home, 4 Away
Monaghan = 5 Home, 6 Away
Tyrone = 4 Home, 9 Away

That's 51 on each side and hopefully right this time as checked twice - though thought was right the last time so make your own minds up.....

Another typo - Armagh 4 Home (7 away)

What happens when doing when watching the Rugby.

Depends who is playing and what the outcomes of other games as to whether they get called off. After Ireland's victory today the Scotland Japan game will be called off allowing Japan to go through as group winners.

Jaysus.

And we criticise the GAA's competitions.
