Replying To Galwaymaster9:  "Toxic football from kilcoo so far.. really hope for the sake of Gaelic football beat them.. Conor Lane having a shocker as well"
I agree that Corafin are the better team with better footballers but their antics at the end of normal time were an absolute disgrace.

Not to mention they played a large chunk of the game with 14 men behind the ball.

To describe Kilcoo only as toxic is childish to say the least.

Corofin were toxic in the last 15 mins - shocking negative , how did Farragher stay on the field so long, too many closed fists

Corofin have been better team and look to be home and dry. But won't look forward to Corofins diving fest in the last few minutes shocking stuff.

The fella who hopped the barrier to the tunnel when the antics was going on should be banned for life.

As is the approach Kilcoo have had throughout. Ulster "football" at its best...

Is it not now time that the hurling takes centre stage on club final day after watching both matches today- what message does this send out to the youth watching the Corofin- Kilcoo game, was an embarrassment to watch- no sportsmanship in football nowadays- unlike the hurling- total respect from both sides with not a dirty stroke in the game.

Thoughts ??

Priceless. Ulster football at its worst. Kilcoo got what they deserved despite Lane's best efforts.

Why does the hurling not rotate as centre stage each year? Am I right in saying the only time in recent years that the hurling was on after the football was when cuala were involved? Yes that would make sense.. a Dublin club.

Corofin will be delighted but they are far from a beautiful team to watch. Kilcoo had chances to win it but just lacked composure of champions.
Think the hurling was better to be honest.

Knowing Conor Lane's anti-Ulster track record:

I didn't bother watching it. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

From memory it did rotate a few years back but the powers that be stopped it, the first half of the football was pure Boke- keep ball with a few scores threw in for good measure, second half was no better until last ten, was a hard watch, no comparison between the two games with hurling firmly on top - Time for a change

I watched as a neutral and I thought Corofin were very cynical but cute. Kilcoo maybe due to being a "northern team" were disciplined but easily punished with cards when they did foul leading to a sending off, the same punishments didn't go the way of Corofin as quickly, I think the stats would back that up. In the end playing with 14 men cost Kilcoo in extra time as they ran out of steam. Corofin fouled in the exact same area throughout the game which was just outside the scoring zone but in the main it went unpunished so I think it would be unfair to criticise Kilcoo for the lazy fact they happen to be a "northern team". Kilcoo were very unfortunate the system changed this year because on today's performance I'd have fancied them in replay; legs were gone at the end. Well done to Corofin winning 3 in a row, today was an almightly challenge for them and showed how easy the last two finals were for them. There is no reason why Kilcoo can't come back again, they looked a serious outfit who made the previous champions look more than beatable.
