Can't see it, No way Mickey is going to want to see Tyrone turned over by a full strength Dublin team in Omagh. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 23/07/2019 10:54:08 2215138 Link 2 |
Dublin will want to win the game, I expect they'll name a strong starting XV with possibly a couple of changes. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 23/07/2019 11:00:36 2215143 Link 3 |
Yeah I don't think it will have the edge of a do-or-die championship match but it's still a home match, you don't want to be beaten out the gate and I think we'll see a good competitive game with the Dubs edging it in the end. JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1432 - 23/07/2019 11:08:32 2215151 Link 0 |
Yeah id be expecting a more then strong team put out in all honesty.

Both managers will be have the next weekend in mind - are you willing to risk your chances of getting to an AIF by playing your strongest hand? Dublin can afford to change their team a bit more, so I would expect changes but not wholesale. theduke66 (Dublin) - Posts: 334 - 23/07/2019 11:14:02 2215159 Link 0 |
If it plays out like this year's league match, I'll be happy. Both teams will want to avoid injury and Tyrone will certainly want to avoid a tanking going into the semi finals. OGarmaile (Tyrone) - Posts: 248 - 23/07/2019 11:15:37 2215160 Link 0 |

I bet he'll narrow the pitch but will ensure deniability in some way after having to blame Sky last year and Sky called him out on it.

Mickey basically said in his interview with TeamTalk after the Cork game that he is going to make changes. This is the Tyrone team I would like to see start: TakeyourPoint. (Tyrone) - Posts: 133 - 23/07/2019 12:02:21 2215189 Link 0 |
Yeah for the players coming back from injury this is a good game to get back up the speed of things. So McCann, Hampsey, R.Donnelly, McAliskey will start id start and hopefully be good to go for the semi final. Petey Harte cant start. Far to big a risk and I would also rest Colm Cavanagh who's had injury problems this year. Not sure about DD Mulgrew, I saw him the last day with number 33 or something so he isn't making the 26. He has had injury problems over the last year. For Dublin id say Gavin will make 5-6 changes. It will still be a very strong team. I would like to see B.Brogan start. Maybe even Connolly, it would certainly raise the atmosphere. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 23/07/2019 12:47:38 2215220 Link 0 |
I can't see Tyrone beating Dublin no matter what 15 Gavin starts with, they will have the advantage of knowing their semi final opponents by the Sunday and I'd imagine both will want to avoid playing Kerry. Dublin by 5 or 6 points for me. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 2756 - 23/07/2019 12:54:36 2215224 Link 0 |
It's too early for this thread. Match isn't for another week and a half. Wally (Tyrone) - Posts: 913 - 23/07/2019 13:19:36 2215238 Link 0 |
