Ease up.. You shouldn't right Mayo off, and remember you still lost yesterday. You beat Clare to get to the super 8s.

they will be written off but Mayo will be difficult and any Meath fan who thinks otherwise is BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 15/07/2019 10:40:24 2211233 Link 2 |
can you stop this nonsense, your embarrassing yourself now. Mayo likely to have players back ,and will bring the do or die attitude that kerry had yesterday. Unlike yesterday its a must-win for them. Different ball-game . BeJasus (UK) - Posts: 383 - 15/07/2019 10:44:22 2211235 Link 3 |

Meath havent beat one Division 1 team in the championship. Got hammered both times they faced top teams. Meath are going in the right direction but it will take a well below par Mayo, some luck from the ref and Meath playing at their best to win this game. Mayo have the experience and will be seething after that game yesterday. Mayo to win by 4+ Gator (Monaghan) - Posts: 238 - 15/07/2019 11:40:53 2211265 Link 0 |

Had a laugh at clip of Mayo trying to bully Kerry before the throw in . Reminds me of when they tried to bully a young meath team at the start of the 96 final with cowardly digs ,then lay down playing dead when the Meath kids stood p to them, Then got beat off the field. Mayo will win this game comfortably ,what showed yesterday was a tired and weary mayo Arent a match for the kerrys Dublin's etc but are still well above the level of meath, meath got to super 8s beating nobody and got 2 hammerings along the way to this point ,mayo by 5+ atleast Galwayjoe86 (Galway) - Posts: 258 - 15/07/2019 12:49:43 2211313 Link 1 |
Great post lad. How do you figure Mayo were trying to bully Kerry? The 4 lads started at each other at the same time. Also one Mayo player hit the deck without being hit. And the Meath kids? Think you might want to look at the age of the 2 teams for 96 good man. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8380 - 15/07/2019 14:44:54 2211378 Link 6 |
Flanker I'd say ignore the troll on this one. Clearly trying to stir.

I think this could be the best game of the weekend. I think Kerry Donegal will be an intense and tight game with little between them, while Mayo Meath will be all over the place but fiercely entertaining. keithlemon (Australia) - Posts: 920 - 15/07/2019 15:11:12 2211400 Link 0 |
Mayo more than capable of beating Meath. We'll just have to see with how they deal with their recovery from yesterday; the fact that they're facing Meath should help stir them up nicely. festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3148 - 15/07/2019 15:35:59 2211411 Link 0 |
I would expect Mayo to beat Meath easily even after the shocker of a display in Killarney there still a far better team that than Meath and I do think they will beat Donegal depending on the lads coming back grodzilla (Galway) - Posts: 7 - 15/07/2019 15:58:52 2211424 Link 0 |
I agree they can beat Donegal at home but only if they get Durkan Ruane and DOC back they are massive for mayo and were badly missed yesterday

Can see Meath winning this one. Injuries to midfielders Tom Parson, Seamie O'Shea, Diarmuid O'Connor and Matthew Ruane has meant that Aidan O'Shea even though clearly carrying an injury has played every minute for the last four weeks. Lee Keegan does not seem to have recovered either from his knock against Armagh but with Paddy Durcan now out Lee is needed on the pitch. O'Connor still had cast on his hand yesterday so unlikely to be back for Donegal game. Too soon for Ruane too. Maybe Durcan might be back.

Oh right ,I can still see a big kick in this team yet this year and Donegal in McHale is as good a place as any for it and having the 2 weeks off after the Meath game will do the team the world of good ,ye are not out yet

Only 1 week off after Meath Game. Semi Final a week after the Donegal game. Mayo wont get to semi final but if they did it would be 6 games in 7 weeks.

I took no satisfaction from seeing the auld enemy bet in Kerry, best to Mayo against Meath. Mayo will get back on track for sure. I would go with Hennelly in goal because Meath will know that Clarke can be made ineffective if you eliminate short kick out. Also, the obsession by commentators with COC scoring more than the Gooch is rubbish as most (not all) of his scoring points are tap overs, he misses most of the hard ones. I didn't realize Doherty was even on the pitch until he came off. Horan using injured players like AOS is bizarre. Up Mayo. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1736 - 15/07/2019 17:17:50 2211470 Link 0 |
