Can we get on with the topic lads. As much as some posters frustrate me, I come here to read and discuss Cavan football, not bickering over silly comments.

Has anyone any updates on our injury list? I hear Pierson and Caoimhin have both broke bones. Pity about Caoimhin, thought he looked sharp for the small bit we seen of him. Seems like he may have been rushed back to early again.

We don't have many natural scoring forwards so these two will be missed.

Ros and cavan were looked down the noses of top 6 last few years weve both been knocking hard to try and break in hopefully after this year both of us will be taken more seriously.

I hear N Murray and Madden were back training last night. Would worry about their fitness, not training for two weeks before a big game?

Pity about Pierson and Caoimhin, although Pierson was not performing and we have only seen max 20 mins of Caoimhin in 2019, so hard to judge.
I hope their injuries arent too serious as they are young and full of potential, looking forward to seeing them in action for club in a few months.

Is that true about Caoimhin injury? heard about the pierson one all right but thats first i heard of the caoimhin one,
I would have been looking to start Caoimhin at this stage so that is a blow. We were light on inside forward options to begin with

Sounds like they are still going hell for leather in training though, which is positive

Worst possible draw for Cavan... hard to see how players or supporters could motivate themselves for this game...any of the other 3 teams would have kept what ever bit of excitement there was going for another weekend... Tyrone are no great shakes but Cavan seem to have a mental block when ever we face them... they can only give it their best shot

You didn't need much intelligence to play Terry Hyland puke defensive football. 14 men behind the ball filling space

It is a bad draw but it will tell a lot about where this team is at, will we be happy to get beaten by Tyrone and simply use the excuse of getting a bad draw for not making the Super 8s? Or will we cut out the bull excuses, go out and beat them and go on and see where the Super 8s takes us? Tyrone aren't anything special, the only beat Longford by 4 and that was mainly down to a lot of Longford mistakes, they did make the All Ireland final last year but lets not forget that it took a point from McShane with 5 seconds to go and some awful refereeing decisions for them to beat Meath in the qualifers. We can win this game Sunday, if we approach it in the right way.

I agree totally with you , To listen to a lot of people we shouldn't even show up for the game , Tyrone are no world beaters . If Cavan turns up with the right attitude of going at them instead of stopping them from playing we can win this one , give them no respect and dig in hard like they seem to be doing at training .

A poor Kildare team who were down a good few players this year,. Daniel Flynnwas outstanding last year. He played no part this year.. Niall Kelly, Paul Cribbin out with injury and a few others.

Tyrone were very poor against Donegal as were Cavan. They struggled past Derry before that. Cavan have a chance if they believe. They ran Tyone close last year in. Enniskillen after a poor fist half

Sure we can beat Tyrone,we have a young Cavan team that has been improving year on year, they've just been unlucky with the draws in recent years. In the last few years they've taken this Tyrone team to a replay and just lost out to them last year.If this year is to be an improvement on previous years we need to be beating this Tyrone team.I believe that with the experience we have in the side we can look Tyrone straight in their eyes take them on and beat them.Best of luck lads.

This is a huge game for us but I think not only because of the Super 8's. I think that we have seen some progress this year and from what I have seen from the U 20's, we can strengthen our panel next year without losing anyone (if Cian Mackey keeps going). But this is an opportunity to put down a marker and to prove to ourselves that Tyrone are beatable. And they are! I think that if we could even win this one, it would represent a huge year for us and would set us up very nicely for the coming year.

But now is not the time to talk about next year so I'll leave it there. One step at a time and hope that we can find a way to get this monkey off our back. If we do, plenty to look forward to. If we don't, plenty to look forward to.

In a way this game is an ideal marker to discern if we have made any progress in the last twelve months.

A loss would mean deflation, a win would mean elation. It's that simple. Imagine going into the super 8s having knocked out Tyrone.

Galligan should try going long with his kickouts, like Patton did in the Ulster final, and try and find Gearóid on the opposition 45.

Well anything but what he did against Donegal will do, his kickouts were the worst I ever seen them that day.

He had a few very poor ones, as any keep does. But most of them were not his fault. he had no options and Donegal flat out attacked the kicks. Not much more he could do

With regards to the kick outs, are Tyrone likely to push up or will they just retreat leaving the short kick out as the obvious option. If they push up then the ball should be directed to Gearoid on their 45 meter line and take it from there.

Best of luck to the boys tomorrow, i am confident that they will put in a huge performance.
