Indeed all Dunne's hail from Laois, it's a laois name , I don't have anything against Laois at all, until we play each other :) and tbh because of the family tree they are up there with Galway and Down as counties I like to see doing well. (Despite what some think, ) I have a huge respect for both Galway and Down, now on the other hand I have a serious dislike for Offaly, Kildare and Westmeath, in football terms of course. As their people are lovely"

One other thing. Lot of people and pundits harping back to 2016 game. It's worth remembering that 1 we had a different management, and 2 only 4 of the named starters for tomorrow started in that game, 11 didn't.

I'll be signing off until tomorrow.
I just want to say I haven't had as much fun in ages as I have had on here for the last two weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope everyone enjoys the game, of course I hope Meath enjoy it more. But have a safe day to all.

Meaths target was to reach a Leinster final.
That in itself says something about where Meath are at.

Replying To royaldunne:  "And in Leinster Kildare have beat Meath once in 8 years, longford once in 35 years and Westmeath once in 135. All in Leinster. Google it."
Westmeath did not beat Meath once in 135 years of the Leinster championship. For a start the first Leinster championship was in 1888 which makes the Leinster championship 131 years old. And Meath and Westmeath met each other for the first time in championship football in 1935. So it really took us 80 years to beat Meath. Google it!

It's only because they avoided Dublin and Kildare

Kildare could have reached a Leinster final on that side of the draw

That's why I employ people. Plus I've been on here since the very beginning

That is an assumption.

Avoiding Dublin was a necessity I agree, but if they drew Kildare in earlier rounds, they still would have had it in them to get to the Leinster final.

You've not corrected me on anything

Meath have been beaten regularly in Leinster without even playing Dublin across a number of recent seasons.

I simply listed the teams that beat you in Leinster.

You're not really getting my point. Apologies if I worded it poorly.

I think Meath got the easy side of things in 2019 and even though I expect to see a possible improvement in Meath's performance due to the work done by an accomplished manager, it's been a few seasons now since Meath took on Dublin at HQ and IMO you'll soon see the difficulty that represents. It's a sizable step up from any team you've played against over the last number of seasons and it'll be difficult for your players adjusting to such.

Simply not ready. No muscle memory.

Just my take on it, here's to an entertaining spectacle.

Making Meath very inexperienced at playing Dublin.

No muscle memory but it'll be a learning experience to take into qualifiers

As soon as I have two hands free after taking a picture of a squadron of flying pigs, I'll soon return my attention to the field and applaud Meath off the pitch if that momentous event happens.

That is an assumption. One that I agree with but not on the Offaly performance

And even with a cameo from Jack Geoff despite the hysterics.
