Unreal predictions there on the junior champo Pat, and then you let yourself down on corlough of all teams :-)

Templeport and killinkere was a classic by all accounts, i would have expected killinkere to be +10 points a better team there

I am not a gaels supporter but be weary of the wounded animal.
Is it possible they did not wish to show their hand and were happy to lay back last night.
Not the end of the world for them.

Well Crosserlough had McVeety, Rehill and Cooke on bench so one team not showing full hand alright.

Out of interest if Ramor are relegated from the senior, which is starting to look possible, would they be allowed have 2 teams in the intermediate next year?

An interesting weekend of football in the senior championship.

Very strange seeing castlerahan fall so far behind in a game but resilient as usual done excellently to fight back. Great composure from Conroy at the end too and Oisin O Connell impressive on the final third or so. Indiscipline from Lavey really cost them here. Fair enough Cullivana second yellow but what was Rutherford thinking.

Yesterday eve I set down to Breffni again for another interesting result. Crosserlough completely outplayed Gaels. Structurally far superior and without McVeety and Rehill for long period. The two stars made a great impact on arrival though it must be said. A huge statement from the lough. Something which has worried me the last two or three times I've seen niall murray is that he looks injured? Really struggling to get going. Although effective against Lavey he seemed to be limping around.

And then to Lavey this evening and a great win for Killygarry with Ramor on top for long periods of the game. Very disappointed with Ramors performance they should really be pushing on in situations like they were in today. The primary reason I rule them out of contention. Interestingly I had commented on how much success ramor were getting from their kickouts working the ball up the field to a score on 7 or 8 occasions when Conor Smith slipped in for the killer blow. I think Ramor lost just 1 kickout in the whole game but boy did Killygarry make advantage of it. Ramor have an uphill battle to reach the final 8 now with lough in the next round.

I'm sticking with my initial prediction of Lough for senior championship after a very impressive performance and the close favourites underperforming this weekend. Any posters at the other three games? Big win for Gowna, interesting one against lacken next week!

So what are you saying they took no part in the game strange I could have sworn McVeety at least did ?? No matter you know.

Who would have thought Cootehill would be so bad?

Or that the standard of the c'ship would be so bad that Kingscourt would have a chance.

With just Barry Reilly taking frees and sidelines, and no other forwards, Kingscourt now have a serious chance of winning it..

Was at both the Cootehill vs Gowna and Lacken vs Kingscourt.

Kingscourt vs Lacken was a really good hard hitting contest. V tough conditions but their was never too much to split the teams. Gunn inside for Kcourt caused havoc in the first half while B Reilly pulled the strings from deep. T Galligan for Lacken ruled midfield and Kingscourt had to foul in most cases to keep him at bay while Ray Galligan kicked 10 points, his 20m sideline kick after 60 mins was worth admission alone. Kingscourt are playing well this year and expect to make qtrs. at this stage. Lacken's next game vs Gowna should be a local cracker.

Gowna vs Cootehill was over as a contest after 15 mins. Conor Madden got three first half goals and looked unplayable in this form. Having said that Cootehill were woeful and will be surely in the bottom four at this rate. Wrote off Gowna as contenders last week but after watching them this week have a feeling they'll be thereabouts come SF stage. Their next game vs Lacken will give us a better reading of where they are at.

Mullahoran loss again. Didn't win a game in 2017, looks like no wins in 2019. Both them and Laragh relegated from league. Looks like a big gulf from the top 6-8 to the rest.

What way does the relegation work in the senior and intermediate this year?

I'm not sure.
Last year bottom 4 in senior and bottom 6 in inter went into relegation play-offs.
There was a vote of start of year to reduce senior to bottom 3 teams and intermediate to bottom 4 teams not sure if that came through or not though.
Wouldn't be fair on teams who miss out on QF's by score difference to be put into relegation playoffs, but the way our CO Board look at it would be more games = more money.
