Don't think so? Perhaps a group of very even teams but nothing outstanding

Knockmore's second team will do very well to beat ardagh to 2nd place

Group 2 the real 'Group of Death' for me. The two B teams there are unknown quantities. Knockmore B have been very strong the past few years but Senior team coming off the back of a bad year so they may lose a few. You'd imagine Westport would be hoping to develop a strong B team especially with the numbers they have coming through.

To the best of my knowledge as I'm out of the county.

Mayo Senior Championship Group 1:

Kiltane V Bohola Moy Davitts

We all know Kiltane are hard beaten in Bangor. They be aiming for a quarter final spot.
Mikey Sweeney and Tommy 'Goals' Conroy key men. Moy Davitts will be happy with last year reaching the last 8 in 1st year returning to Senior. Anthony Jordan, Brian Reape and Brian Heneghan key men.

Kiltane by 2

Davitts V Breaffy
Davitts were very lucky to avoid relegation last year after their heroic comeback V Crossmolina, they are in Division 3 and need to more heroic again to survive Senior. If the County Final was this month then Breaffy would be hot favorites with AOS, Matthew Ruane & Hennelly on form. Liam Irwin is back to add badly needed forward power.

Breaffy by 6

Group 2:
Castlebar Mitchells V Ballina Stephenites

Castlebar will be hoping to regain Senior title but will have competition this year with Ballintubber, Breaffy and depends on Westport. Barry Moran gone to USA. Neil Douglas and Aiden Walsh key men. Ballina were struggling to break down strong Ballintubber who were very comfortable on the ball keeping possession Ciaran Treacy and Evan Regan need to push on.

Castlebar by 4

Aghamore V Westport
This could be a classic and potentially could cause dark horse in this Senior Championship as both Aghamore and Westport have won the last 3 of the 4 U21 A Championship title. Aghamore with Ross Egan, Fergal Boland, Cathal/Alan Freeman and plenty of young talent to call on.
Westport as well with Colm Moran, Oisin McLaughlin, Fionn McDonagh and Paddy O'Malley.

Westport by 1

Group 3:
Knockmore V Garrymore

Knockmore had a huge disappointment in last year Championship entering relegation play-offs and may be further away from winning their 1st title since 1997. Keith Ruttledgh, Darren McHale and Peter Naughton key men. Garrymore well know for toughness at this level still have Trevor/Shane Nally and stalwart Jimmy Killeen.

Knockmore by 1

Hollymount/Carramore V Ballintubber

Holly/Carra still lacking strength in department to win county title and will not fear Ballintubber having beaten them in Clogher 2016 Championship and brought Ballintubber to a replay 2017 Quarter Final. Darren Coen hope to push on. Ballintubber look very confident last week and never look like losing V Ballina very comfortable on the ball and can hold possession.

Ballintubber by 3

Group 4:
Ballaghaderreen V Claremorris

Ballaghaderreen have usually been 1 year wonder winning 2008 and 2012 title and gone awol in other years, last year they were close on beating Breaffy semis. Amkram, Cian Hanley, Barry Regan key men.
Claremorris like Aghamore/Westport very strong underage winning last year U21 and 2014 U21 need to push on to challenge the Senior title. James McCormack, Conor Diskin and Brian Gallagher key men.

Belmullet V Charlestown Sarsfields

Belmullet return to Senior football for the 1st time since 1987 and have been disappointed so far gathering 1 point in Division 2. Also like Claremorris plenty of young talent. Ryan O'Donoghue may not be fit and Michael Keane/Jonathan Donoghue key men. Charlestown were disappointed last year getting well beaten by Moy Davitts with finishing with 11 men so discipline need to be better this year. Colm Maye and Gareth O'Donnell key men.

Belmullet by 2

To the best of my knowledge as I'm out of the country at the moment.

Mayo Intermediate Championship Group 1:

Bonniconlon V Crossmolina Deel Rovers

Bonniconlon experts on surviving Intermediate football will have a challenge this weekend with the 2001 All-Ireland Club Senior Champion. Niall Egan and Richard McKensive key men for Bonniconlon.
The Deel Rovers will need to bounce back to Senior at 1st attempt otherwise they may for it find difficult. Brian Benson and Sean Kelly is back (former London footballer) and big year for Conor Loftus.

Crossmolina Deel Rovers by 3

Ardnaree Sarsfields V Swinford

Ardnaree haven't been settling the Intermediate Championship on fire since winning Junior 2015 they need Chris Walsh and Cian Burke to perform. Swinford has been steady ship since Tom Byrne came in winning last year Division 4 title and a County Quarter Final losing to eventual champion Belmullet. Liam Moran and Jack McDonnell key men.

Ardnaree Sarsfields by 2

Group 2:
Islandeady V Balla
Islandeady have been in poor in recent weeks losing at home to Kilmaine Junior team and hammered away by Ballinrobe and were lucky last year to avoid relegation play off. Ollie Feeney I believe is retired huge loss. Darragh Joyce and Peter Collins key men.
Balla returns to Intermediate Championship after last year Junior success Colm Walsh and Val Roughann key men.

Balla by 1

Parke/Keelouges/Crimlin V Burrishoole

Parke known as hardy men and experts on getting Quarter Finals evergreen Simon/John Cloherty and Ray Neary key men. Burrishoole were very poor in last year final and need to come back stronger and have James Moran back which huge boost and Jason Doherty is on form with Mayo.

Burrishoole by 2

Group 3:
The Neale V Mayo Gaels
Very even game The Neale have been doing very well in Intermediate Championship since winning Junior 2012 reaching 4 Semifinals and 1 Final. Stephen and Tommy Conroy key men.
Mayo Gaels will be disappointed last year to narrowly avoided relegation to Junior and have been disappointed at this level. John & Adam Gallagher key men.

The Neale by 3

Ballinrobe V Ballyhaunis
Ballinrobe are one of my favorites to win Intermediate and this could provide tough test this weekend with Ballyhaunis. Darren McDonnell and Evan O'Brien key men for Ballinrobe. Ballyhaunis backbones with Keith Higgins and Clare hurler Eoghan Collins.

Ballinrobe by 2

Group 4:
Lahardane MacHales V Louisburgh

Group of death Lahardane hoping to push on at this level requires beating another 2 potential favorites for the Championship Louisburgh and Kiltimagh. Adrian Leonard and Keith Loftus key men. Louisburgh with Kevin Gibbons and Padraic Prendergast key men.

Shrule/Glencorrib V Kiltimagh
Kiltimagh were hot favorites last year before crashing down to eventual champion Belmullet and they are bottom of Division 1, Sean Walsh and Ronan Malee key men. Shrule/Glencorrib were lucky to avoid relegation Final last year after beating Mayo Gaels in extra time. David 'Roundy' Geraghty key man.

Apparently Junior Championship going ahead the weekend Mayo down to play the first qualifier, any reason why the co board are so determined to play it?
Very unfair on junior clubs to have a potentially season defining game same weekend as their county team is playing.

Ballina to beat aghamore
Mitchels to beat Westport
Tubber to beat Knockmore
Garrymore to beat Hollymount
Charlestown to beat Ballagh
Belmullet to beat Claremorris

Intermediate
Bonni to beat Swinford
Ardnaree to beat Crossmolina
Balla to beat Parke
Burrish to beat Islandeady
The Neale to beat Ballyhaunis
