Dublins funding is a very touchy subject particularly with the ex Pat's down here. Why can't ye just be honest about it and admit ye are being treated "differently " to other Counties. Anybody want to guess what the team selection will be for Final?? Will Philly be brought in for Clifford? Reckon the front 6 are nailed on: Kilkenny, Howard, Rock, Mannion, CON. The only possible doubt being Scully. Midfield Fenton definitely but who will MDMA partner him. Small, Jack Mc and Jamesy for half backs. I thought CoS was great when he cam on against Mayo. But will Jim employ him in a sweeping role. Jonny, Davey Byrne definitely in Full back but will he play Mick Fitz or Philly? Fascinating. I would also put Philly on Clifford but Clifford has young legs so may be necessary to swap with Cooper at some stage if Keane tells him to play out the field. Fitzy or Philly both capable of taking Geaney. It would be very harsh to drop MDM. For me has been sensational for us this year, reborn. His runs from deep are a huge weapon for us, coupled with Jack's drives. I would start Small James. Jack across that HB line. It would be tough on Cian but he's exactly what we need in the locker, can fill in at HB for James if we want to move him to the middle or can take a spot in the FB line. The big question up front for me is whether any of DC, BB or Paddy start. But I'm sure that Scully won't be dropped. He was key to the second have demolition of Mayo and is a great link player. Looking back on recent history and DC, BB and Kev Mc have all been instrumental in our victories over Kerry. Will they all get a spot on the bench? I hope so. Bernard was razor sharp in Omagh.
