Michael Meehan, Dara O'Shea, Kieran McDonald and Michael Donnellan (in his hey day) are non Dubs to whom I would have mucho respecto.

Favourite non-Laois player would have to be Marc O'Shea, a hard working diligent player who gives it his all and is often under-rated in my opinion

Stevie McDonnell, in my opinion he would be only to second to Gooch in terms of potency and his ability to always worry the opposition.

Matty Forde.. consistent scoring without getting quality supply all the time.Saw him in a match being team handed and still got 4 or 5 points. No disrespect to Wexford but in a better side we'd all be talking about Matty much the same as the Gooch.

Even though he's retired it has to be Peter the Great. An absolute genius who was well able to handle himself on the pitch as well if it came down to it. I'm surprises he hasn't got too many mentions on this topic.

Sorry Lockjaw,I thought it was current players. You are spot on about Canavan, the best I've seen in the last 15 years.Almost nearly on his tod got Tyrone the draw in 95.Did the ball bounce? You'd have to say yes but he wasn't going to get that decision.

Favourite player outside of armagh i would have to say would be cooper. Him in a full forward line with mcdonnell and clarke would be amazing. Or Sean Cavanagh a superb player (as much as it kills me to say it) an amazing engine who can run all day.

My favourite current non-Tyrone player would be Matty Forde, just ahead of Benny Coulter or Barry Owens.

All time, would have to be Maurice Fitzgerald. For most of the late 80s and early 90s I thought he was a gloriously skillful player who couldn't deliver no the big day, but I was delighted to be proved wrong by him on many occasions from '97 onwards. Also was a big fan of Henry Downey, who was a super leader and a fabulous footballer at centre-half back.

Favourite players outside my own county would have to be Declan O Sullivan and Brian McGuigan...to hard to seperate them. Both 21st century GAA heroes who hopefully have a few more big days in Croker ahead of them. these in my humble opinion are both excellent role models for young guys. They play such an intelligent brand of football providing the inspiration but no little persperition for their respective county teams. How is Brian McGuigan these days?
The new set up on the board is much better but will not stop multi posters....it'll make it harder for them but wont stop them.

In Hurling I would say Tommy Walsh, a man you love to hate. He is a joy to watch yet destroys us nearly every year.
In Football, I would really admire Sean Kavanagh for his workrate, also Graham Geraghty. Galway man

Paul Galvin, a legend would love if he had royal blood in him
He seems to play even better when people try to give him a few skelps
or stephen O'Neill , an absolutely savage footballer

Sean Cavanagh is an unreal athlete and a great man to drive on other players. Defo would love to have him in the Mayo team!

Non monaghan men on the list would be Kieran mc geeney even though he's retired. Utmost respect for the man who led by example in terms of effort and the way he carried himself. A true legend.

Another man would be padraig Davis formerly of Longford. Saw him rack up some seriously impressive scores in a limited team and think its a shame he never got more (or any recognition)

Davy Harte of Tyrone. Comes in for a bit of stick from within his own county, but anyone in the know outside Tyrone knows that this is a class act.
