Ok, i am setting up this thread to let people appreciate players not from their own county. What non your county player do you respect the most. It may shock some of you that the player i regard higher than any other outside the CAPITAL is none other than Mayo, yes I sais MAYO'S finest, Kieran McDonald. See I am more than capable of looking beyond the sh**e some Mayp people here like to spill and see a footballer for what he is worth. Kieran McDoanld is nothing short of sheer and utter class. An absolte genius. And if I could shake one footbalers hand and tell him what a legend he is, outside of Dublin, it would, without a doubt be the one and only, the legend, the sheer class and genius, Kierna McDonald. A geuine LEGEND of Irish Sport if you ask me. The George Best of GAA. Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 30/03/2008 03:21:48 228 Link 0 |
Good topic Liam. I've always had the utmost respect for Padraic Joyce. Top quality player and so so intellligent on the field. RMDrive (Donegal) - Posts: 2202 - 30/03/2008 09:57:24 235 Link 0 |
Its got to be Gooch. I would love to see how many points a game he would score if he played for a weaker county. Site Admin (Meath) - Posts: 42 - 30/03/2008 10:04:59 236 Link 0 |

That's a tricky 1, it's going to take a serious bit thought for the main man outside Tyrone. Benny Coulter has to be up there with them, Marty Clarke would be it if the GAA hadn't lost him. Though I met McGeeney last year and as a Tyrone man I would have no great love for an Armagh man but I had to make a point of introducing myself to him and shaking his hand. LEGEND!! Outside my own county, I have so much admiration for the gooch a quality footballer, also Cormac mc Anallen was one of my favourite Ulster footballers for his dedication, and just his presence he was a great man. Niamh (Derry) - Posts: 2397 - 30/03/2008 18:11:44 317 Link 0 |

Its only when you see the names thrown around here you realise how lucky we are to have such great amateur sportsmen entertain us. Padraig J, Graham G. Benny C, Paddy B, Kieran Mc, Stevie Mc and O' - but the one I would pay ?200 just to see would be Gooch. Not the biggest, not the hardest, not the loudest but to me the best. As a player, as a man, as an athlete - top class! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 31/03/2008 00:22:17 432 Link 0 |
